Abstract

The State Islamic University (UIN) Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi is one of the largest Islamic universities in Jambi Province and is included in the ten disability-friendly campuses. As an educational institution based on Islamic values, the campus mosque plays a strategic role as a center for student spiritual development, moral strengthening, deepening of Islamic values, and character building. This study aims to identify and evaluate the extent to which the campus mosque facilities of UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi have implemented accessibility standards and met the principles of friendliness towards people with disabilities. In the process of identifying and analyzing disability-friendly mosques, this study used four accessibility principles: ease, safety, usability, and independence. The method used was descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques through literature studies and field observations. The study reveals that several campus mosque facilities violate government regulations and are unfriendly to people with disabilities. Based on the results of this assessment, the campus mosque of UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi cannot be categorized as a disability-friendly campus mosque and still requires further evaluation and development.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate urban tourism development strategies based on visitor perceptions and SWOT analysis using the IFAS-EFAS approach at Kambang Iwak Park, Palembang. The park possesses historical, ecological, and social values as a public open space with significant potential to be developed as an urban tourism destination. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach through field observations, literature review, and Guttman-scale questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and SWOT analysis. The findings indicate that the park is positively perceived, particularly in terms of accessibility, comfort, facilities, and overall safety. More than 80% of repondents considered the main facilities to be comfortable and easily accessible. However, several weaknesses remain, particularly regarding personal security, environmental cleanliness, sanitation, and the management of informal activities. The SWOT analysis reveals that the park possesses strong internal strengths and substantial external opportunities to be developed as a family-oriented urban tourism destination. Priority development strategies include strengthening formal security systems, revitalizing lake and public toilet cleanliness, regulating informal activities, organizing regular tourism events, and enhancing sustainable tourism promotion.
