Abstract

The school library plays a strategic role as a learning resource center that supports the educational process, strengthens literacy, and improves the quality of learning for students and teachers. However, library services at SMP Negeri 219 Jakarta are still managed manually, from searching the book collection, borrowing, and returning books, to compiling transaction reports, resulting in various challenges such as slow service, low work efficiency, and difficulties for users in accessing collection information. This study aims to design a web-based library system as a form of transformation for school library services through a user-satisfaction-oriented approach. The research employs a system design method using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) approach for system analysis and design, while system implementation utilizes the PHP programming language and the MySQL database. The developed system is equipped with features for book search, digital borrowing, book reservations, book donations, feedback and suggestions, return notifications, and automated reports. The research results indicate that the designed system is capable of improving the effectiveness of library management, accelerating service access, and enhancing user comfort and satisfaction. Thus, the digital transformation of school libraries serves as a strategic solution for improving the quality of library services based on user needs.

Abstract

Decision-making in student organizations is often still based on subjective intuition due to low data literacy among board members. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to improve the skills of OSIS (Student Council) members in Kunciran Village, Tangerang City, in processing simple statistical data using spreadsheet applications as a basis for accountable organizational decision-making. The implementation method involved participatory workshops including administrative problem identification, descriptive statistics function training, and work program survey data visualization practice. The results showed a significant increase in participants' technical skills, with a 56% increase in survey data processing functions and a 50% increase in data visualization techniques. Through this training, OSIS members were able to transform raw data into strategic information that supports reporting transparency and program evaluation effectiveness. This activity concludes that mastering appropriate office software is an essential foundation for adaptive student leadership in the digital era.

Abstract

Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers great potential as a learning assistant, but its use at the high school level is often suboptimal and hindered by ethical issues. This community service (PKM) activity aims to enhance the basic research skills of students in Cipondoh District through the ethical and productive use of Generative AI. The method employed was Project-Based Learning through prompt engineering workshops for research draft preparation. The results showed a 52% increase in students' ability to construct theoretical frameworks and literature reviews, and a 67% increase in understanding citation ethics. Using AI as a dialogue partner proved effective in accelerating the pre-research phase and improving students' logical thinking structures. This program recommends the need for continuous mentoring so that AI technology can become a catalyst for scientific literacy rather than a mere copy-paste tool.
