Abstract

The global mandate of leadership multiplication within the Missio Dei framework faces a systemic crisis where the demand for trained leaders outpaces the capacity for spiritual formation, primarily due to linguistic barriers on the Unreached and Unengaged People Group (UUPG) regions. This study explores the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a strategic accelerator to transcend these barriers through a scalable model for Christian leadership formation. Employing a qualitative conceptual approach, the research utilizes theological-sociological analysis and the DELTA ethical framework while evaluating technical implementation data from the IFGF College Artificial Intelligence (AI) project. The findings reveal that AI integration achieved a thirty-fold acceleration in leadership multiplication, successfully adapting theological curricula into 33 languages in just 1.5 years. However, the discussion highlights critical risks such as the "deification of the algorithm" in high power-distance cultures and the ontological limitation of AI in performing sacramental and relational duties. This paper concludes that the "Human-in-the-Loop" model is essential, positioning AI as "scaffolding" to manage linguistic and administrative tasks while reserving character formation and spiritual impartation for human mentors. By adopting a posture of "Bold Humility," the church can achieve "Scaling Intimacy," leveraging the digital technology without compromising the incarnational depth of the Gospel.

Abstract

The primary objective of this research is to analyze the leadership succession model from Moses to Joshua, specifically examining the implementation of Vision, Integrity, and Passion (VIP) variables to address modern Christian leadership crises. Contemporary leadership in religious institutions often manifests a "value gap" the disconnect between confessed theological beliefs and functional values that govern actual practice. This phenomenon leads to systemic failures characterized by materialism, authoritarianism, and moral lapses, often summarized as the "Wealth, Throne, and Women" (HTW) paradigm. Utilizing a qualitative methodology through narrative exegesis of key biblical texts including Numbers 27, Deuteronomy 31, and Joshua 1 and a dialogue with the integrity of Christ in 1 Peter 2:21–23, the study identifies a normative framework for healthy regeneration. The findings reveal that successful succession is a meticulously planned process involving long-term mentoring, public commissioning, and the delegation of overlapping authority. The results demonstrate that the VIP model serves as a robust spiritual antithesis to leadership pathologies, restoring the gospel as the operational center of ministry. This study concludes that Christian institutions must adopt formalized mentoring and structural accountability to ensure the spiritual vitality of future leaders, particularly within the complex social dynamics and honor-shame cultures of Asia.
