Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the effect of voltage variations on the power ignition box on the torque and power of the Honda Scoopy motorcycle in 2017. (2) determine the effect of variations in the voltage on the power ignition box on the fuel consumption of the Honda Scoopy motorcycle in 2017. (3) Knowing the effect of voltage variations on the power ignition box on exhaust emissions of the Honda Scoopy motorcycle in 2017. (4) Knowing the best voltage variations on the power ignition box are on power torque, fuel consumption, and exhaust emissions of the 2017 Honda Scoopy. Engine performance, including power torque, fuel consumption, and vehicle exhaust emissions, will be obtained by the maximum vehicle engine if the combustion system works optimally. One way to maximize the combustion system is using a power ignition box. The research method used is experimental. The research data was obtained using a sample of Honda Scoopy motorcycles in 2017. The independent variable used a power ignition box with voltage variations of 14.4 V, 14.7 V, 15.0 V, 15.3 V, 15.6 V, and 15 .9 V. The dependent variable is the power torque using a Dynamometer, fuel consumption using stationary test and road test on predetermined roads, and exhaust emissions using a Gas Analyzer. The results of this study are: (1) The maximum torque is obtained at a voltage variation of 15.6 V of 9.57 N.m, an increase of 8.5% from the standard state. The maximum power is obtained at the 15.6 V voltage variation of 6.63 HP, up to 8.5% from the standard state. (2) The maximum fuel consumption for the stationary test was obtained at a voltage variation of 14.7 V of 4.25 ml/min, decreased by 0.18 ml/min. The increase in average fuel consumption is at a value of 4.55 ml/min. The maximum fuel consumption for the road test was found at a voltage variation of 14.7 V of 30 m/ml increasing to 15 m from the standard state. The average increase in fuel consumption was 24.93 m/ml from standard conditions. (3) The maximum CO (carbon monoxide) of 0.3% at a voltage variation of 14.4 V, down 0.11% from standard conditions. The maximum HC (hydro carbon) is 16.00 ppm at a voltage variation of 15.0 V, down 15.33 ppm from standard conditions. Maximum CO2 (carbon dioxide) is 2.0% at a voltage variation of 15.9 V, down 0.10% from standard conditions. The maximum O2 (oxygen) is 9.25% at a voltage variation of 15.6 V, down 3.23% from standard conditions. The best configuration for the Box Power Ignition is at a voltage of 15.3 V.Keywords: Honda Scoopy, Box Power Ignition, Torque and Power, Fuel Consumption, Exhaust Emissions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi rekomendasi turbin angin yang sesuai untuk pengukuran berdasarkan potensi angin di Kabupaten Jaten. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Sumber data untuk penelitian ini meliputi pengukuran kecepatan dan arah angin yang diperoleh menggunakan mikrokontroler berbasis IoT. Purposive sampling digunakan untuk mengumpulkan sampel. Alat yang digunakan untuk pengambilan data terdiri dari anemometer untuk mengukur kecepatan angin dan wind vane untuk menentukan arah angin. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan kecepatan angin rata-rata tertinggi teramati pada ketinggian 10 meter Di Kabupaten Jaten kecepatan angin rata-rata 0,47 m/s, dengan kecepatan tertinggi 3,38 m/s. Arah angin dominan bertiup dari Tenggara ke Barat. Potensi angin di daerah ini tidak cukup tinggi untuk dimanfaatkan secara efektif sebagai sumber energi angin yang signifikan karena besarnya yang rendah. Dalam konteks Kabupaten Jaten, kincir angin Savonius vertikal direkomendasikan untuk memanfaatkan kecepatan angin rendah. Jenis turbin Savonius yang dapat digunakan seperti turbin Savonius tipe Helical 2 bilah dengan end plate memiliki kecepatan potong 1,906 m/s dan turbin Savonius tipe S 2 bilah dengan penambahan 4 sirip memiliki kecepatan potong 1,8 m/s.

Abstract

This study with stationary test aims to (1) To investigate the effect of using step up voltage on Honda Beat motorcycles on fuel consumption with stationary test. (2) To investigate the variation of the best voltage from the use of step up voltage on the fuel consumption of Honda Beat 2013 motorcycles with stationary test. (3) To investigate the effect of the use of a mixture of bioethanol and pertalite fuels on the fuel consumption of Honda Beat motorcycles with stationary test. (4) To investigate the variation of the best concentration of mixing bioethanol in pertalite on the fuel consumption of a Honda Beat 2013 motorcycle with stationary test. (5) To investigate the best configuration of a mixture of bioethanol and the use of step up voltage on the fuel consumption of a Honda Beat motorcycle with stationary test. Data collection techniques are needed to obtain results. valid data from the tests that have been carried out. Experimental techniques were used to collect data from each of the variables studied. So that the determination of variables is very necessary by carrying out clear research and testing procedures in order to facilitate the process of collecting data from the results of these experiments. The test results on the stationary test, namely the use of step up voltage, there is an effect on fuel consumption, the best is set at voltage of 14,3 V at 3.65 ml/min. The use of variations in the concentration of bioethanol in pertalite has an effect on fuel consumption with the best results using a 20% bioethanol concentration of 4.56 ml/minute. The best configuration was obtained when the step up voltage was set at 14.1 V and the 25% bioethanol concentration was 4.01 ml/min. more perfect due to a decrease in the level of fuel consumption in the tested vehicle.
