Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence between organizational activeness and interpersonal communication skills both partially and simultaneously on the cumulative achievement index in FKIP UNS Vocational Technical Education students. This study uses a quantitative ex-post facto method. The population in this study is the administrators of the association for the 2023 period from the departments of Mechanical Engineering Education, Building Engineering Education, and Informatics Engineering Education. Sampling in this study uses a total sampling technique with a total of 153 respondents. The data collection technique uses questionnaires and documentation. The data obtained were processed through prerequisite tests consisting of normality tests, linearity tests, and multicollinearity tests. The data met the prerequisite test, a hypothesis test was carried out with multiple linear regression analysis.The results of the study showed that: (1) There is a significant influence of organizational activity and interpersonal communication skills simultaneously on the cumulative achievement index in FKIP UNS Vocational Technical Education students, this is evidenced by the F value calculated 9.354 > F table 3.06 and R square of 11.2%; (2) There was a significant influence of organizational activity on the cumulative achievement index of FKIP UNS Vocational Technical Education students with a calculated t value of 2.385 > t table t 1.65, effective contribution of 5.95% and relative contribution of 53%; (3) There was a significant influence of interpersonal communication skills on the cumulative achievement index of FKIP UNS Vocational Technical Education students with a calculated t value of 2.183 > t table 1.65, effective contribution of 5.25% and relative contribution of 47%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah dengan penerapan model pembelajaran flipped learning dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar mahasiswa Prodi PTM FKIP UNS pada mata kuliah motor bakar. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus dengan setiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester II Prodi PTM FKIP UNS kelas Motor Bakar A yang berjumlah 42 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan dokumentasi. Validitas data menggunakan validitas isi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif komparatif. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai dengan Juli 2023. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan prestasi belajar motor bakar pada mahasiswa Prodi PTM FKIP UNS melalui penerapan model pembelajaran flipped learning. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh persentase nilai rata-rata prestasi belajar berturut-turut pada setiap siklusnya yaitu pra siklus sebesar 9,24%, siklus I sebesar 16%, siklus II sebesar 31,52%, dan siklus III sebesar 58%. Dengan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran flipped learning dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu alternatif model pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving student learning achievement in the Internal Combustion Engine course for second-semester students of the Mechanical Engineering Education Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University Surakarta, in the 2022 academic year. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) conducted over three cycles, with each cycle consisting of (1) Planning, (2) Implementation, (3) Observation, and (4) Reflection, focusing on actions to improve student learning achievement in the Internal Combustion Engine course. Data collection was carried out using observation methods. The research subjects were students of the Internal Combustion Engine Course, Class A, second semester, of the Mechanical Engineering Education Program, batch 2022, with a total of 42 students. The analysis used in this study is descriptive qualitative analysis. Based on the research results, the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model resulted in an improvement in student learning achievement. The study showed that the students' learning outcomes in the Internal Combustion Engine course in Class A, PTM FKIP UNS, were initially low. The data obtained showed that the percentage of all indicators in the pre-cycle was 69.52%, in the first cycle 96.67%, in the second cycle 72.02%, and in the third cycle 76%. The conclusions drawn from the analysis and discussion of the research are as follows: The application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve student learning achievement in the Internal Combustion Engine course in the PTM FKIP UNS, second semester of the 2023 academic year.
