Abstract

A booklet is a small book containing interesting information and pictures that can be used as teaching material. The research aims to describe the development process and the quality of the Booklet development results. Booklet development uses the 4-D model by Thiagarajan, which is limited to the Develop stage, which is limited to validation tests and readability tests, and the Dissemination stage, which is limited and simple. The subjects of the research and development of the Booklet were two lecturers and nine students who had passed the Plant Anatomy course in the Biology Education FKIP, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat, Banjarmasin. The object of this research is a booklet of the types of stomata of the Arecaceae family found in the FKIP environment at Universitas Lambung Mangkurat, Banjarmasin. The results of the study and development of booklets in the suitability test obtained an average score of 4.38 (very appropriate), the feasibility test obtained an average score of 4.43 (very feasible), and the readability test by students received an average score of 4.39 (very good).

Abstract

The development of a booklet on stomatal types in the Plant Anatomy course aims to provide a supplementary teaching material. This study seeks to describe the stomatal types found in Araceae plants within the FKIP ULM Banjarmasin environment, as well as to evaluate the content relevance, feasibility, readability, and development outcomes of the booklet. This research is a type of research and development (R&D) following the 4D model, limited to the Develop stage. The subjects involved in the development and evaluation of the booklet included two lecturers from the Biology Education Study Program and nine students who had completed the Plant Anatomy course at FKIP ULM Banjarmasin. The study identified two types of stomata among nine species of Araceae plants: (1) the cyclocytic type, found in Philodendron tuxla, Dieffenbachia seguine, Spathiphyllum floribundum, Philodendron burle marx, Syngonium auritum, Alocasia sarian, and Alocasia sanderiana; and (2) the anomocytic (ranunculaceous) type, found in Caladium tricolor and Colocasia esculenta L. The booklet achieved an average score of 4.37 in the relevance test (very relevant), 4.28 in the feasibility test (very feasible), and 4.49 in the readability test (very good), indicating that the booklet is technically suitable for use as a teaching material to support the Plant Anatomy course.

Abstract

Plants from the Apocynaceae family are commonly found in the environment of Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarmasin, and can be utilized as learning materials, particularly in studying the sub-concept of stomata types. Providing appropriate learning resources and teaching materials that align with advancements in science and technology can enhance students’ learning motivation and engagement. One effective approach is the use of digital teaching materials such as electronic booklets (e-booklets). This study aims to describe the quality of the developed e-booklet based on suitability, feasibility, and readability tests. This research employed a development method using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) proposed by Thiagarajan et al. (1974), conducted up to the dissemination stage in a limited and simplified manner. The subjects of the research and e-booklet evaluation consisted of two lecturers and eight students who had completed the Plant Anatomy course. The results showed that the suitability test obtained an average score of 4.79 (very suitable), the feasibility test obtained an average score of 4.75 (very feasible), and the readability test obtained an average score of 4.68 (very good). These findings indicate that the developed e-booklet is highly appropriate, feasible, and readable for use as a digital learning material in plant anatomy learning.

Abstract

The lack of digital-based teaching materials and local potential on macroscopic fungi material that is considered difficult to understand by students can be developed into e-booklet teaching materials. This study aims to describe the suitability, feasibility, readability and effectiveness of e-booklets on types of fungi on the banks of the Mawangi village river. This study uses the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) and is limited to the limited disseminate stage. The suitability and feasibility test was carried out by 3 experts, the readability test by 9 students, and the effectiveness test by 17 students. The results of the suitability test obtained an average score of 4.22 (very suitable), the feasibility test obtained an average score of 4.33 (very feasible), the readability test of students obtained an average of 4.71 (very good) and the results of the effectiveness test of students obtained an average score of 0.61 (moderate). Based on these results, it shows that this e-booklet is suitable for use as additional teaching materials on the material on the biodiversity of the mushroom sub-concept.Kata kunci: 4D, desa Mawangi, e-booklet, jamur makroskopis

Abstract

The lack of local potential-based teaching resources makes it challenging for students to grasp the Bryophyta subject, necessitating the development of e-booklet materials. The purpose of this study is to describe the types of moss on the banks of the Mawangi Village river and describe the approriateness, feasibility, readability, and effectiveness of the developed e-booklet. The e-booklet was developed adopting the 4D model technique (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), however, is was only developed to the limited distribution stage in this study. Two Biology Education FKIP ULM lecturers and a Biology teacher from SMAN 1 Kandangan participated in the suitability and feasibility tests. Nine students participated in the readability test, while seventeen students participated in the effectiveness test. According to the study’s results, 8 types of Bryophyta were found on the banks of the Mawangi Village River, Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency, including Ectropothecium sp., Fissidens sp., Calymperes sp., Octoblepharum sp., Thuidium sp., Bryum sp., Riccia sp., and Anthoceros sp. The e-booklet had an average approriateness test score of 4.19 (approriate), a feasibility test score of 4.36 (very feasible), a readibility test score of 4.53 (very good), and effectiveness test N-gain score of 0.72 (high). As a result, the e-booklet Types of Bryophyta on the Riverbanks of Mawangi Village is considered suitable for use as additional biology teaching material for high school students in grade X. Kata Kunci:Bahan ajar, bryophyta, e-booklet, pengembangan model 4D, tepian sungai Desa Mawangi
