Abstract

This assistance is carried out with the aim of making it easier for students to memorize the Al-Quran. This assistance is motivated by the fact that there are still many students lacking in reciting Al-Qur'an verses which are not in accordance with the correct recitation rules. This mentoring is to help students memorize verses of the Al-Qur'an in the Tahfidz extracurricular program, especially juz 30. The method used in this mentoring is the Participatory Action Research (PAR) strategy. The method for implementing this assistance is the Jibril Method. Jibril's method is the right method among the many methods of memorizing the Koran. Jibril's method is talqin-taqlid (imitation), students imitate their teacher's reading where the teacher's position is as a learning resource, carried out by the teacher starting to read a piece of verse then continuing with students repeating the reading read by the teacher first. The results of mentoring using the Jibril method show that: (1) Increase students' ability to memorize the Al-Qur'an. (2) Increase students' understanding in memorizing their memorization. (3) Increasing students' enthusiasm in repeating their memorization. . Keywords: Mentoring; Method Jibril; Tahfidz

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of youth family development activities in developing youth in KB Pesona Indah Bukit Gado-Gado Village, South Padang District. The type of research is qualitative, data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation. Research informants, Head of Bukit Gado-Gado Village, Youth Family Development Group, Parents who have Teenagers and Adolescents. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research reveal that the role of the BKR Group in developing teenagers is carried out through 3 (three) stages of the role, namely counseling, coaching and guidance to parents of teenagers which is then continued to teenagers. Abstract

The assistance provided to PKK mothers aims to introduce hydroponic plants to PKK mothers, increase the mothers' insight into hydroponic plants and build a sense of concern for plastic bottle waste. The methods used are the PAR (Participatory Action Research) method and the lecture method for delivering material directly. This assistance has resulted in increasing the enthusiasm of housewives to implement the knowledge gained and building a sense of concern for plastic waste. The material in this assistance is collaboration with hydroponic plant owners in the field to obtain detailed and accurate information.

Abstract

Coastal youth in Pasir Sebelah, Pasie Nan Tigo, Padang City, are actively involved in fishing activities, which limit their opportunities to participate in religious learning. This condition indicates the need to strengthen their Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) literacy, particularly regarding thaharah (ritual purification) and prayer under maritime conditions. This community service program aimed to strengthen fiqh literacy among the Ashabul Kahfi Youth Association through the study of classical Islamic texts, Matan al-Ghayah wa al-Taqrib by Abu Syuja’ al-Asfahani and Kifayatul Akhyar by Imam Taqiyuddin al-Husaini. The program employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach based on the Kemmis and McTaggart cycle of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The program involved 28 young fishermen aged 15–45 years and was conducted over 10 weeks. Data were collected through participant observation, focus group discussions, interviews, and pre-test and post-test assessments. The intervention included interactive halaqah sessions, talaqqi, case discussions, simulations, and practical exercises related to maritime religious practices. The learning focused on five indicators: identifying suitable water for purification, understanding jamak-qashar prayers, performing thaharah, performing prayer under emergency conditions, and determining the qiblah direction at sea. The evaluation showed that the mean post-test score increased by 50.8 points compared with the pre-test score across the five indicators. Observations and interviews also indicated improved participants’ ability to apply fiqh principles to practical situations encountered during fishing activities. The program demonstrates that contextualized classical fiqh learning can contribute to strengthening religious literacy among coastal youth.
