AbstractThis article aims to formulate a theology of worship based on Jeremiah 1:1-19 and to explore its implications for Christian liturgy. The study is motivated by the tendency of contemporary worship to shift from a theocentric orientation to an anthropocentric one, resulting in the obscuring of divine revelation and the faithful response of the congregation. This research employs a qualitative approach through exegetical-theological analysis of Jeremiah 1:1-19, which is then synthesized into a coherent framework of worship theology. The findings reveal a consistent theological pattern, namely initiative - word - sending, which reflects the dynamic of revelation-response. God initiates by revealing Himself, communicates His word to instruct and equip, and ultimately sends His people with the assurance of His presence. This pattern is further validated through other biblical texts, particularly Exodus 3-4:17 and Matthew 28:16-20, demonstrating its continuity within the broader narrative of salvation history. The liturgical implications of this study affirm that Christian worship should reflect this divine pattern, beginning with God’s initiative, centered on the authority of His word, and culminating in the sending of the congregation. Therefore, liturgy is not merely a religious expression but a participation in the living and sovereign work of God.
