Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to examine whether or not there is a relationship between religiosity and the discipline of elementary school students in grade 3 SDN Tengah 01 Pagi, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta. This research falls under the category of quantitative research using the Correlational research method. The population under investigation consisted of 60 third-grade students (III A and III B) of the school. The sampling technique utilized in this study was cluster random sampling, involving a sample size of 56 respondents. As for the primary data sources in the research, they encompass the school principal, teachers, and students. Meanwhile, the secondary data sources are derived from journal articles, books, and other relevant sources related to the research. Data collection methods in this research included questionnaires and observations. Based on the research results, it indicates a strong correlation between religious attitudes and student discipline. The correlation value of 0.623 is positive and has a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05. Thus, there is a positive relationship or correlation between religious attitudes and the discipline of third-grade students of classes III A and III B at SDN Tengah 01 Pagi, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.

Abstract

Data on the proportion of SAMSAT Rancaekek taxpayer compliance for 2021 shows that there has been a decline due to economic conditions that have not recovered 100% from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to examine how the influence of tax information and tax sanctions on taxpayer compliance in the field of motor vehicle taxation. Researchers used the slovin formula and a simple random sampling mechanism to collect information from 100 people. Data collection from taxpayers at SAMSAT Rancaekek used open and closed questionnaires for this study. This study uses a quantitative methodology because of the numbers involved. Researchers screened the initial data and found 14 outliers; Hence, 86 respondents were included for statistical analysis. IBM SPSS version 26 was used to perform multiple linear regression analysis and descriptive statistics for this study. The findings show that the taxpayer's understanding of tax regulations and tax sanctions simultaneously and partially influences taxpayer compliance with motorized vehicle tax at SAMSAT Rancaekek.

Abstract

Mathematical understanding is one of the supporting factors for students' success in mathematics. Skemp divides understanding into two types, namely instrumental understanding and relational understanding. This research purpose was to describe the mathematical understanding of seventh grade D students in solving set problems based on Skemp's theory of understanding in terms of rational personality types. The type of research used was descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted at Junior High School Darul Aman Mataram of 2021/2022 academic year. Selection of subjects using a purposive sampling technique. The subjects in this study were two students with rational personality types. Data were obtained using a mathematical understanding test and interviews. The study's results showed that students with rational personality types tend to have a relational understanding because they can explain reasons or interpret problem-solving procedures according to the set concept correctly. In addition, students are able to understand the purpose of the given set of problems, can apply ideas according to the logic of thinking in solving problems, can write problem solving procedures coherently according to Skemp's theory even though they tend to be brief, can solve mathematical understanding problems accompanied by appropriate answer arguments, can change mathematical sentences in the given problem in the form of words, images, or certain mathematical symbols. Furthermore, this type can achieve all of the indicators of instrumental understanding and can fulfill the six indicators of relational understanding, except for the ability to correlate several set concepts. Based on these results, it is expected that rational personality type students can determine detailed planning in solving problems, and improve understanding of mathematical concepts such as being more careful in the use of solution strategies so that students are accustomed to applying various solution strategies.
