Abstract

DEVELOPMENT OF INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA E-MODULES BASED ON VISUAL PROGRAMMING PLATFORMS ON COMPUTATIONAL THINKING MATERIALS TO IMPROVE COGNITIVE INFORMATICS LEARNING ACHIEVEMENTS OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS This research is motivated by the low computational thinking skills and cognitive learning outcomes of junior high school students in Informatics, caused by conventional learning methods and limited laboratory facilities. This study aims to develop, test the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of an interactive multimedia E-Module based on a visual programming platform (Scratch) for Computational Thinking materials. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects involved ninth-grade students involved at SMP Negeri 2 Toroh, divided into experimental and control classes. Data collection was carried out through expert validation questionnaires, user response questionnaires, and learning outcomes tests (pretest and posttest). The results showed that the E-Module developed using Articulate Storyline was declared highly feasible based on material and media expert validations. This product was also rated as highly practical based on positive responses from teachers and students. The effectiveness test using the Mann-Whitney test revealed that the Mean Rank of the experimental class (37.85) was significantly higher than the control class (26.33), along with an increased N-Gain score. It is concluded that this interactive multimedia E-Module is effective in improving the cognitive learning outcomes of junior high school Informatics students.

Abstract

DEVELOPMENT OF AI-BASED LEARNING MEDIA ON NETWORK CONFIGURATION MATERIAL IN COMPUTER AND NETWORK ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT OF VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL This study aims to develop, and to test the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of AI-based learning media using Canva AI on network configuration material in the Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ) department of Vocational High School. The background of this research is the limitation of learning media used at SMKN 1 Braja Selebah, which still relies on printed modules and simple slides, making it difficult for students to deeply understand network configuration procedures. The research used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model, covering Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. Research subjects were 66 grade X TKJ students divided into experimental and control classes. Instruments used included expert validation questionnaires for media and content, teacher and student response questionnaires, and pretest and posttest questions. Results showed that Canva AI-based learning media received a feasibility percentage of 89.6% from media experts and 83.3% from material experts, both categorized as very feasible. The practicality level based on teacher responses reached 87.3% and student responses 83%, both categorized as very practical. The effectiveness test showed that the posttest scores of the experimental class (81.2) were higher than the control class (72.3), with an independent sample T-test significance of 0.003 and an effect size of 0.773. It was concluded that Canva AI-based learning media is feasible, practical, and effective in improving student learning outcomes in network configuration material.

Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF ERGONOMIC SITTING POSITION IN LEARNING FAST TYPING TECHNIQUES FOR OFFICE MANAGEMENT AND BUSINESS SERVICES COMPETENCY STUDENTS AT STATE VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL 2 SUNGAILIAT Implementing a correct ergonomic sitting posture can help students feel more comfortable, reduce fatigue, and support concentration during speed typing lessons. However, 20 students, or 61%, still failed to apply ergonomic sitting postures correctly and consistently during speed typing practice. This study aimed to determine the general application of ergonomic sitting postures in speed typing lessons and to identify the steps teachers take in implementing ergonomic sitting postures in speed typing lessons for students in the Office Management and Business Services Competency (MPLB) at SMK Negeri 2 Sungailiat. The research design used was a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects in this study consisted of teachers who teach speed typing techniques in the MPLB Competency and 11th-grade students in the Office Management and Business Services Competency (MPLB). Triangulation was used to validate the data. The data analysis technique used was descriptive qualitative data analysis. The results showed: 1. The implementation of ergonomic sitting postures is not yet fully optimal. Some students still exhibit sitting habits that are not in accordance with ergonomic principles, such as hunching, positioning their heads too close to the monitor, or not maintaining correct posture during the practice. 2. The application of ergonomic sitting posture in learning fast typing techniques at SMK Negeri 2 Sungailiat has been implemented as part of the computer-based practical learning process. Teachers have directed students to apply the correct sitting position before and during the typing activity.
