Abstract

Introduction: Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem caused by a prolonged lack of nutritional intake. In the working area of the Wonosamodro Primary Health Center, the incidence of stunting still requires special attention. In 2025, the stunting prevalence showed a decrease to 14.49%. Maternal knowledge and parenting styles are fundamental factors suspected of affecting the nutritional status of toddlers. Methods: This study is a quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 92 mothers of toddlers, selected using a simple random sampling technique. The research instruments used were questionnaires on maternal knowledge and parenting styles. The bivariate analysis in this study used the Pearson Chi-Square statistical test. Results: The statistical test results showed a Correlation between maternal knowledge and the incidence of stunting in toddlers with a p-value of 0.000, and parenting style is related to the incidence of stunting with a p-value of 0.000. Conclusions: There is a significant association between maternal knowledge and parenting practices with the incidence of stunting among toddlers in the working area of the Wonosamodro Primary Health Center, Boyolali Regency
