Abstract

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a digital approach capable of integrating planning, design, and construction information into a single unified model. The implementation of BIM in infrastructure projects in Indonesia continues to grow; however, its application at the tender stage is still not optimal. This study aims to analyze the implementation of BIM in the tender process of infrastructure projects and to identify the benefits and challenges encountered. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with a literature review approach and an analysis of BIM implementation practices at the tender stage. The results indicate that the use of BIM can improve the accuracy of tender documents, enhance efficiency in document preparation time, and increase transparency in the bid evaluation process. Nevertheless, BIM implementation still faces challenges, including limited human resources, high initial investment costs, and the absence of uniform national standards. This study is expected to serve as a reference for policy development and the implementation of BIM in the procurement process of infrastructure projects.

Abstract

Engineering code of ethics serves as a fundamental moral framework that every engineer must uphold throughout the infrastructure project process. This study aims to analyze the implementation of engineering codes of ethics in infrastructure project processes, identify the challenges encountered, and formulate strategic recommendations to enhance professional ethical compliance in the field. The method employed is a literature review and qualitative analysis of various infrastructure project cases in Indonesia. The results indicate that adherence to the ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers) Code of Ethics and the Indonesian Engineer Code of Ethics (PII) is still inconsistently applied in practice, particularly regarding public safety, professional integrity, and environmental sustainability. Economic pressures, tight project schedules, and weak oversight are identified as the main barriers. This study recommends strengthening ethics education in civil engineering curricula and enforcing stricter sanctions against code of ethics violators.

Abstract

Air pollution in urban areas is an increasingly serious environmental issue driven by rising industrial and transportation activities. This study aims to analyze air pollution levels in Jakarta using key parameters such as Particulate Matter (PM2.5 and PM10), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO₂), Sulfur Dioxide (SO₂), and Ozone (O₃). Measurements were conducted over a one-week period at monitoring sites representing industrial, commercial, and residential areas, as well as green open spaces. The methodology involved direct ambient air sampling using High Volume Air Samplers (HVAS) and impingers, followed by laboratory analysis via spectrophotometry and gravimetry. Results indicate that PM2.5 concentrations in industrial areas reached 78.4 µg/m³, exceeding the 55 µg/m³ standard set by Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021. The average Air Pollution Standard Index (ISPU) across the monitoring sites fell into the 'Unhealthy' category. Motor vehicle emissions (62.3%) and industrial activities (28.7%) were identified as the dominant sources of pollution. The study recommends strengthening public transportation systems, expanding green open spaces, and tightening industrial emission regulations as measures to mitigate urban air pollution.
