Abstract

UD. Dimsum Madani is a culinary-based micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) that still relies on a conventional sales system through manual ordering via instant messaging applications, resulting in difficulties in managing incoming orders, error-prone transaction recording, and limited market reach. This study aims to design and build an online sales application system based on e-commerce to help UD. Dimsum Madani market its products more widely and efficiently, make it easier for customers to place orders online, and generate accurate sales reports. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, consisting of requirements planning, design workshop, and implementation stages, and was tested using the Black Box Testing method. The results show that the system was successfully built with features including account registration, login, shopping cart, Cash on Delivery (COD) checkout, product management, order status management, and sales reporting, all of which were tested and functioned according to the requirements. The system proved capable of integrating the sales business process, simplifying stock and transaction management, and minimizing the risk of manual recording errors at UD. Dimsum Madani.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has encouraged Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to adopt web-based systems to improve sales performance and operational efficiency. However, Warung Nasi Bu Misyani Seikambing Medan still relies on manual sales processes, resulting in transaction recording errors, delays in sales reporting, and limited promotional activities. This study aims to design and develop a sales website that supports transaction management, promotional activities, and information delivery more effectively. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Prototype development model. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and literature review, while system functionality was evaluated using Black Box Testing. The results indicate that the developed website provides integrated features, including menu management, sales transactions, sales reports, business information, online ordering without user registration, and both cash and QRIS payment options. System testing confirmed that all features functioned properly according to user requirements. Therefore, the developed website serves as an effective solution for improving sales management, accelerating customer service, expanding promotional reach, and supporting the operational efficiency of Warung Nasi Bu Misyani Seikambing Medan.

Abstract

Financial management in most mosques, including Al Mustaqim Mosque in Helvetia Tengah, is still carried out manually using paper-based cash books and reports, making it prone to recording errors, difficult to trace, and lacking transparency for both worshippers and mosque administrators. This research aims to design and build a web-based Financial Management Information System for Al Mustaqim Mosque in Helvetia Tengah so that the recording of income, expenses, and financial reporting can be carried out in a computerized, accurate, and transparently accessible manner for the public. The development method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD), consisting of five stages: business modeling to map the mosque’s financial management business process, data modeling to design the transaction and user database structure, process modeling to translate the business process into system functions, application generation to build the application using the Flask framework. The result of this research is a web-based information system built using Flask, SQLAlchemy, and an SQLite database, equipped with a public portal for financial transparency to worshippers, an admin dashboard, CRUD (create, read, update, delete) operations for income and expense transactions, Based on the implementation and testing results, it can be concluded that the developed system is able to improve the efficiency of recording time, the accuracy of balance calculations, and the transparency of mosque financial management compared to the previously used manual recording method.
