Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that cause difficulty learning mathematics in the material lines and angles at school and at home. This type of research is qualitative research. Subjects in this study were four students who have difficulty learning math class VIIB SMPN 4 Sindang. In this research, the writer used a technique Bogdan and Biklen?stechniqueto data analysis. The writer also uses triangulation observer, place, time, and theory to examine the validity of the data obtained. Based on the research results and conclusions obtained are students?difficulties in learning mathematics of the lines and anglesmaterial are (a) misunderstanding of the students toward a matter to be determined; (b) ignorance of the students to the concept of lines and angles; (c) students to the inaccuracy of writing symbols (language) mathematics; (d) the inaccuracy of students on mathematical calculations. Meanwhile, the factors that cause students learning difficulties in learning lines and angles material is divided into two factors, namely the internal and external factors. Internal factors (in students) that caused learning difficulties in learning material lines and angles are the students are no interest towards learning mathematics and how/study habits of students. Meanwhile, extern factors (outside thestudents) students' learning difficulties in learning mathematics of the material lines and angles of SMPN 4 Sindang seen through two aspects, namely environmental factors of school and family environments (home).

Abstract

This research discusses the implementation of a culture of tolerance and peace in daily life at Ma’had Al Zaytun, a pesantren located in Indramayu Regency, West Java, Indonesia. The Al Zaytun Institute emphasizes the importance of these two fundamental principles in creating a harmonious and conducive environment for learning. Through character education integrated into the curriculum, extracurricular activities that encourage cooperation and interfaith dialogue, as well as an inclusive learning environment, Ma’had Al Zaytun has successfully instilled values of tolerance and peace in its students. This research employs a literature study method through theoretical and empirical reviews from various sources, including books, journal articles, research reports, and official documents related to multicultural education and the teaching of tolerance values in educational institutions. Research findings indicate that tolerance and peace are taught through inclusive religious education, social activities, and interactions among students that encourage appreciation for differences. The curriculum at Ma’had Al-Zaytun combines religious education with multicultural insights, instilling the importance of living together peacefully. Additionally, social interactions among students from diverse backgrounds serve as an effective medium for fostering mutual respect and cooperation. This culture of tolerance is also supported by the active role of teachers who serve as role models in maintaining harmony within the Ma’had environment. However, even though it has succeeded in creating a conducive atmosphere for peace, Ma’had Al-Zaytun faces challenges in maintaining the consistency of these values amidst external influences that often bring sentiments of intolerance. In conclusion, Ma’had Al-Zaytun is capable of being an effective model of education based on tolerance and peace in shaping the character of a young generation that is inclusive and loves peace. Abstract

Industrial minerals are useful as drilling materials support such as; limestone(MgCaCOJ for filler, bentonite and barite for drilling mud and quart: sand for proppingagent. Until ncrw the benefit of thern has not been optimized because it is only as buildingmaterial, and still the mining -which cause environmental damage. Concerning the environmental care and to support the movement of using nationalproducts of oil and gas activities need innovations and creativities in taking the benefit ofthose minerals. The alternative that has been chosen such as the effort of the balancingbetween the national products and big investment in oil and gas. To rnake condition of bentonite as drilling mud was needed activation and change itto sodium bentonite to improve those mineral suspension by polymer added. Meanwhileindustrial development of silica sand as gravel packing and propping agent, have beenbetter within mining activity in Bangka Area. Average quality of silica sand consist Si O,up of 90 % to satisfy the requirements, but still was quality improved. In few regions inIndonesia overall industrial mineral can be used to support oil and gas activities. Key words: environmental, industrial minerals, upstream oil and gas activities.
