Abstract

Islamic education plays a strategic role in shaping the character, morals, and knowledge of Muslims around the world. In the era of globalization and rapid development of information technology, the challenges faced by Islamic educational institutions are becoming increasingly complex, ranging from demands for quality improvement, governance, to educational institution policies in the eyes of society and the state. Good governance becomes the main foundation to ensure the quality and relevance of Islamic education, thus capable of producing graduates who are not only academically excellent but also possess Islamic character and are ready to face the challenges of the times. In addition to governance, the quality of Islamic education is also greatly influenced by various factors, such as human resource development, curriculum innovation, technology utilization, and community and family involvement. The main objective of this research is to examine the governance of Islamic policy studies in improving the quality and accreditation of madrasahs. Madrasahs with good accreditation do not rule out the possibility that these madrasahs already sufficiently meet accreditation standards. The findings of this research indicate that accreditation policies in madrasahs significantly influence the improvement of Islamic quality. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach and field reseach. Thru several literature reviews, several challenges were still found, such as the lack of infrastructure, limited human resource knowledge, and the uneven understanding of accreditation standards in all madrasahs
