Abstract

This study aims to analyze the multicultural parenting model implemented by parents in educating early childhood within culturally diverse environments. The research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review and semistructured interviews with parents who have children at the early childhood education (PAUD) level. The findings indicate that parents instill values of tolerance through daily habits, the selection of illustrated reading materials, and the introduction of regional songs. The identified parenting pattern is authoritativeintegrative, emphasizing tolerance, open communication, and the natural introduction of diversity. This study underscores the importance of multicultural parenting as a foundation for developing children’s character to be tolerant and prepared to live in a pluralistic society.
