Abstract

Philosophy of science plays a fundamental role in constructing a systematic, rational, and critical scientific framework in curriculum development. In the context of Islamic educational management, curriculum innovation requires not only technical approaches but also a strong philosophical foundation to respond to contemporary challenges without losing Islamic values. This study aims to analyze the role of philosophy of science as a basis for curriculum innovation in Islamic educational management. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method through the analysis of books, academic journals, and other relevant sources. The findings indicate that philosophy of science contributes to three main aspects: the ontological aspect related to the nature of knowledge and the goals of Islamic education, the epistemological aspect related to methods and approaches in curriculum development, and the axiological aspect related to values and orientation of the curriculum. The integration of these aspects produces a curriculum innovation model that is adaptive to contemporary developments while remaining grounded in Islamic values. This study contributes conceptually to the development of philosophy-based curriculum innovation in Islamic educational management.

Abstract

Multicultural Islamic education is an educational approach that places cultural, ethnic, linguistic, and social diversity as a reality that must be managed positively within the educational process. In this context, communication and negotiation are two crucial managerial instruments in building harmonious relationships among school members and maintaining organizational effectiveness. This study aims to analyze the concept of communication and negotiation management in multicultural Islamic education and to examine its implementation strategies within educational institutions. This research employs a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach through the study of books, journals, and relevant literature. The findings indicate that communication management in multicultural Islamic education must be built upon openness, respect for differences, empathy, and participatory dialogue. Meanwhile, negotiation is needed as a mechanism for conflict resolution and achieving mutual understanding among educational stakeholders. Implementation strategies may be carried out through strengthening an inclusive organizational culture, improving leaders’ communication competence, and establishing internal mediation systems within educational institutions. Therefore, effectively managed communication and negotiation will support the creation of harmonious, adaptive, and high-quality Islamic educational institutions.
