Abstract

The research paper is entitled “Analysis on GraError of Student’s Writing Descriptive Text”. The aims of the research were to find out what kinds of grammatical error made by eight grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Pasirjambu in writing descriptive text and to analyze what causes of the grammatical error in writing descriptive text. The sample of the data was collected by giving writing test , which consisted of 31 students. Qualitative research was used by the researcher as the research method. From the total of 246 sentences of the samples, the research finding showed that misformation was the highest error that students made in writing descriptive text. The percentage of the errors was 104 (53%) from the total error 196. Whereas, the lowest percentage of the error was found in misordering with the percentage 19 (10%). On the other hand, there were some causes of the error made by students of the eight grade of Junior High School in writing descriptive text suc as the language interference, carelessness and translation. The highest cause of error on percentage 53% was found in first language interference. Meanwhile, the lowest cause of error was translation with the total percentage 10 %. It showed that the students still had difficulties in writing descriptive text. It was caused by the language interference, the second was Therefore, the teacher had to give the appropriate method for the students in teaching descriptive text and using appripiate media and interesting material to help them easy to understand the lesson. Abstract

This study aims at finding out whether there is a significant difference between reading comprehension scores among students with different learning styles; visual auditory, and kinaesthetic of the second semester students of English language education study program in one private university in Bandung Regency. This study used quantitative method and causal-comparative design. The instruments of this study included learning style questionnaire and reading comprehension test. Further, it used independent sample t-test to analyze the data from learning styles questionnaire, and reading and reading comprehension scores. Findings of the result reveal that there was significant difference between students’ reading comprehension scores based on there groups’ learning styles: visual, auditory and kinaesthetic . The result shows that that using e-storybooks in Project-Based Learning (PjBL) helped improve the reading comprehension of students with different learning styles: Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic.For Visual learners, the use of e-storybooks led to a significant improvement, with their average score increasing from 29.23 in the pre-test to 67.46 in the post-test. The use of print picture books in Project-Based Learning (PjBL) proved to be highly effective in improving the reading comprehension of students with different learning styles. Abstract

Purchasing choices are shaped by the distinctiveness of the product assessed in relation to its intended use, and for sustainable marketing, the firm must effectively navigate the market landscape. This research aims to examine the impact of advertising and product quality on purchase choices about Lip Tint Glossy Stain Emina in Bandung City. This research employs a descriptive and verification strategy with a quantitative approach. Sampling using non-probability sampling methods. A sample of 100 respondents was acquired by administering questionnaires to customers of Lip Tint Glossy Stain Emina in Bandung City. The used data analysis procedures include validity and reliability assessments, normality evaluations, and hypothesis testing using multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and determination tests, all conducted using SPSS version 29. The findings of this study's hypothesis test indicate that both Advertising and Product Quality positively influence Purchasing Decisions regarding Emina Lip Tint Glossy Stain Products. The coefficient of determination reveals that the independent variables account for 84.6% of the variance in the dependent variable, with the remaining 15.4% attributed to other variables.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of integrating the shadowing technique with the AI-powered mobile application ELSA Speak to enhance pronunciation and speaking fluency among second-semester students of the English Language Education Study Program. A quasi-experimental design was employed, with a sample of 45 students divided into an experimental group and a control group. Data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, and student questionnaires. Over six meetings, the experimental group utilized the shadowing technique alongside ELSA Speak, while the control group received traditional instruction. Results indicate that the experimental group showed significant improvement in both pronunciation and speaking fluency compared to the control group. This study concludes that integrating shadowing with AI-powered applications like ELSA Speak is an effective strategy for developing students’ oral English proficiency.
