Abstract

Anemia during pregnancy is a significant health problem that affects both the mother and fetus. Iron deficiency, as the primary cause, can lead to complications such as premature birth and maternal and neonatal mortality, especially in areas with limited access to adequate nutrition, like Enim Estuary Regency. A natural solution, such as the consumption of beetroot juice, which is rich in iron, folic acid, and vitamin C, has emerged as an alternative for increasing maternal hemoglobin levels during pregnancy. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of beetroot juice consumption in increasing maternal hemoglobin levels at the Tanjung Raya Community Health Center. The research also aims to identify the characteristics of pregnant women, analyze their hemoglobin levels before and after the intervention, and evaluate the difference in mean hemoglobin levels following beetroot juice consumption. This study employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest format. The study involved 150 pregnant women, selected through total sampling at the Tanjung Raya Community Health Center. The independent variable is beetroot juice consumption, while the dependent variable is hemoglobin (Hb) levels. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results show that the majority of respondents (93.33%) were aged between 20 and 40 years, with an even distribution across the three trimesters of pregnancy. Regarding education, the majority had completed junior high school and high school (28% each). The analysis revealed a significant improvement in maternal Hb levels after the intervention, indicating that beetroot juice consumption is effective in increasing hemoglobin levels in anemic pregnant women. It is recommended that the Tanjung Raya Community Health Center integrate beetroot juice consumption into their maternal health improvement programs and enhance educational efforts regarding the benefits of consuming nutritious foods

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of integrating the shadowing technique with the AI-powered mobile application ELSA Speak to enhance pronunciation and speaking fluency among second-semester students of the English Language Education Study Program. A quasi-experimental design was employed, with a sample of 45 students divided into an experimental group and a control group. Data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, and student questionnaires. Over six meetings, the experimental group utilized the shadowing technique alongside ELSA Speak, while the control group received traditional instruction. Results indicate that the experimental group showed significant improvement in both pronunciation and speaking fluency compared to the control group. This study concludes that integrating shadowing with AI-powered applications like ELSA Speak is an effective strategy for developing students’ oral English proficiency.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berbasis budaya dirancang untuk berfokus pada materi yang dikaitkan dengan budaya lokal daerah tempat siswa berasal dengan sesuai  latar belakang, pengalaman dan pengetahuan awal yang beragam dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang ditransformasikan dengan budaya daerah lain di Indonesia dan budaya asing dalam mencapai keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa. Dalam mendukung tujuan tersebut, perangkat pembelajaran berorientasi transformasi budaya ini dihasilkan melalui sebuah studi pengembangan yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode pengembangan Plomp dan metode eksperimen. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI di salah satu sekolah yang berada di Kabupaten Bandung dengan sampel terdiri dari 3 kelas yaitu kelas uji coba terbatas, kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan angket dengan menggunakan instrumen penelitiannya adalah lembar validasi, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, lembar keterlaksanaan perangkat pembelajaran dan angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian dengan metode Plomp menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dihasilkan valid, praktis dan efektif. Hasil penelitian dengan metode eksperimen  terhadap keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi hasil Uji ANOVA One Way  p-value 0,002 (sig < 0,005) menunjukan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The maternal mortality rate in West Java in 2017 based on the 2017 health profile was 76.03 per 100,000 KH, when compared to the proportion of MMR in 2017 that was targeted, the MMR of West Java Province was already below the 2015 national target (MGDS). According to the City Health Office Tasikmalaya in 2019 the maternal mortality rate was 1 case. One of the factors that influence the safety of delivery is the factor of anxiety during the delivery process. In the delivery process, therapeutic communication will provide comfort during childbirth. The results of the initial survey in the Delivery Room of Prasetya Bunda Hospital, through observations of 5 mothers giving birth in the 1st stage, four mothers experiencing anxiety. To analyze the relationship between midwives' therapeutic communication and the anxiety of mothers giving birth at Prasetya Bunda Tasikmalaya Hospital in 2023. This type of research is an analytic descriptive study using a cross sectional approach. The research location will be carried out at Prasetya Bunda Tasikmalaya Hospital. The time of the research will be carried out from March to June 2023. The population in this study are mothers who give birth at Prasetya Bunda Tasikmalaya Hospital with an average number of 30 people per month. The sampling technique in this study used total sampling so that the sample was 30 people. The first measuring tool is about therapeutic communication as many as 15 question items, while the second measuring tool uses the Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HRSA) questionnaire. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis of frequency distribution and bivariate chi square analysis. The results of the Chi-Square statistical test at a significant level of 95% with α = 0.05 show that the P-value (0.002) <α = 0.05. It can be concluded that Ho is rejected. Thus it can be interpreted that there is a relationship between midwives' therapeutic communication with the anxiety of mothers giving birth at Prasetya Bunda Tasikmalaya Hospital in 2023 Keywords: Therapeutic Communication, Midwives, Anxiety, Maternity Mothers.  ABSTRAK Angka kematian ibu di Jawa Barat pada tahun 2017 berdasarkan profil kesehatan 2017 sebanyak 76,03 per 100.000 KH, jika dibandingkan dengan proporsi AKI tahun 2017 yang ditargetkan maka AKI Provinsi Jawa Barat sudah berada dibawah target nasional (MGDS) tahun 2015. Menurut Dinas kesehatan Kota Tasikmalaya pada tahun 2019 Angka Kematian Ibu sebanyak 1 kasus. Salah satu faktor yang berpengaruh terhadaap keselamatan persalinan adalah faktor kecemasan pada saat proses persalinan. Pada proses persalinan komunikasi terapeutik akan memberikan kenyamanan saat bersalin. Hasil survey awal di Ruang Persalinan RS Prasetya Bunda, melalui pengamatan terhadap 5 orang ibu bersalin kala 1, empat ibu bersalin mengalami kecemasan. Untuk menganalisis hubungan komunikasi terapeutik bidan dengan kecemasan ibu bersalin di RS Prasetya Bunda Tasikmalaya tahun 2023. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif analitik menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Lokasi penelitian akan dilaksanakan di RS Prasetya Bunda Tasikmalaya. Waktu penelitian akan dilaksanakan mulai bulan Maret s/d Juni 2023. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah ibu yang melahirkan di RS Prasetya Bunda Tasikmalaya dengan jumlah rata-rata per bulan sebanyak 30 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan total sampling sehingga sampel berjumlolah 30 orang. Alat ukur pertama tentang komunikasi terapeutik sebanyak 15 item pertanyaan, sedangkan alat ukur kedua menggunakan kuesioner Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HRSA). Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis univariat distribusi frekuensi dan analisis bivariat chi square. Hasil output uji statistik Chi-Square yang pada tingkat signifikan 95% dengan α= 0,05 diketahui bahwa nilai P-value (0,002) <α= 0,05. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ho ditolak. Dengan demikian dapat diartikan bahwa ada hubungan komunikasi terapeutik bidan dengan kecemasan ibu bersalin di RS prasetya bunda tasikmalaya tahun 2023. Kata kunci: Komunikasi Terapeutik, Bidan, Kecemasan, Ibu Bersalin.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Health education is an effective approach in increasing understanding, attitudes, and actions regarding personal hygiene, especially during menstruation. The 2017 Indonesian Demographic Health Survey (IDHS), as many as 63.9% of young women still have bad hygiene practices during menstruation, and this is due to limited information and understanding regarding personal hygiene during menstruation. Writing intends to understand the effectiveness of peer group health education techniques related to understanding, attitudes, and personal hygiene actions during menstruation in 10th grade female students in SMA Perguruan Rakyat 2. This research used a quasy experimental one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this research was all 10th grade female students at the College of People's High School 2. The number of respondents was 55 students, before and after being given Health Education, the peer group was 55 people. The output results describe the paired sample correlation test or the relationship between the two data (pretest variables and posttest variables). According to the output, it is known that the significance value (Sig.) is 0.623. Because the value of Sig. 0.623 > 0.05, it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between the pretest variables and the posttest variables. In conclusion, it was found that there were changes in knowledge, attitudes, and personal hygiene measures when menstruating in high school female students, where the results of the Paired sample T-test showed a sig score of 0.046, which means 0.000 > 0.05. Keywords: Peer Group Method, Personal Hygiene, Menstruation  ABSTRAK Pendidikan kesehatan ialah satu diantara pendekatan yang efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman, sikap, serta tindakan tentang kebersihan pribadi, khususnya ketika menstruasi. Survei Demografi Kesehatan Indonesia (SDKI) 2017, sebanyak 63,9% remaja putri masih mempunyai tindakan kebersihan yang buruk ketika menstruasi, dan perihal tersebut dikarenakan oleh terbatasnya berita serta pemahaman terkait kebersihan diri sepanjang menstruasi. Penulisan bermaksud memahami efektifitas Pendidikan Kesehatan teknik peer group terkait pemahaman, sikap, serta tindakan personal hygiene ketika menstruasi pada murid perempuan kelas 10 di SMA Perguruan Rakyat 2. Riset ini memakai desain quasy eksperiment one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi pada riset ini semua murid perempuan kelas 10 di SMA Perguruan Rakyat 2. Jumlah responden 55 orang siswi, sebelum dan seusai diberikan Pendidikan Kesehatan peer group 55 orang. Hasil output tersebut memaparkan uji korelasi sampel berpasangan atau kaitan antara dua data (variabel pretest dan variabel posttest). Menurut output tersebut, diketahui bahwa nilai signifikansi (Sig.) adalah 0.623. Sebab nilai Sig. 0.623 > 0.05, bisa ditarik kesimpulan bahwasannya tidak ada kaitan yang signifikan antara variabel pretest dengan variabel posttest. Simpulan didapatkan bahwa ada perubahan pengetahuan, sikap, serta tindakan personal hygiene ketika menstruasi pada murid perempuan SMA, dimana hasil uji Paired sample T-test, ditunjukkan yakni skor sig 0.046, yang berarti 0,000 > 0.05. Kata Kunci: Metode Peer Group, Personal Hygiene, Menstruasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The growth and development of children is referred to as the golden age because at this time the physical condition as well as all the abilities of the child are developing rapidly, namely all movements that can be obtained by the whole body and motor development can be referred to as the development of elements of maturity and control of body movements. To determine the relationship between the role of parents and motor skills in children aged 1 - 2 years in the working area of the Telagasari Health Center. This research was conducted using quantitative research methods with cross sectional analysis using Chi square. Based on statistical results, it shows that the role of parents in motor development in children 1-2 years own p-value 0,000 < 0,05. There is a relationship between the role of parents on motor development in children aged 1 - 2 years in the working area of the Telagasari Health Center, Karawang Regency in 2023 the next researcher is expected to add other variable. Keyword: Parental Role, Motoric Development, Parenting  ABSTRAK Pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak disebut sebagai masa keemas an, karena pada masa ini keadaan fisik maupun segala kemampuan anak sedang berkembang cepat. Motorik yaitu semua Gerakan yang mungkin didapat oleh seluruh tubuh dan perkembangan motorik dapat disebut sebagai perkembangan dari unsur kematangan dan pengendalian gerak tubuh. Untuk mengetahui Hubungan Peran Orang Tua Terhadap Perkembangan Motorik Pada Anak Usia 1-2 Tahun di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Telagasari Kabupaten Karawang Tahun 2023. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan cross secsional. Dengan menggunakan Analisa chi-square. Berdasarkan hasil statistik menunjukan bahwa Peran Orang Tua Terhadap Perkembangan Motorik Pada Anak Usia 1-2 memiliki p-value 0,000 < 0,05. Terdapat hubungan antara peran orang tua terhadap perkembangan motorik pada anak usia 1-2 tahun di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Telagasari Kabupaten Karawang tahun 2023. Peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan untuk menambah variabel yang lain. Kata Kunci: Peran Orang Tua, Perkembangan Motorik, Pola Asuh

Abstract

ABSTRACT The infant mortality rate (IMR) which continues to increase is a big problem for a country, because this IMR is an indicator that reflects the level of health development that quality of life for the people of a country. Since 2015, the world has started working hard towards a new global development agenda, namely the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which aim to reduce IMR to at least 12 per 1000 live births by 2030. Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (IMD) is placing the baby face down on the mother's chest or stomach so that the baby's skin is attached to the mother's skin which is done at least one hour immediately after birth. If the contact is blocked by a cloth or done in less than an hour, it is considered imperfect and is considered not doing IMD (Ministry of Health RI, 2018). To find out the Effect of Education About Early Breastfeeding Initiation (Imd) and Bounding Attachment to Post Partum Mothers for the Breastfeeding Process at Poned Puskesmas Rawamerta Karawang Regency in 2023. Analytical with cross sectional approach. The sample in this study at the Rawamerta Health Center in February 2023 was 30 people. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of IMD education on increasing mother's knowledge (p value = 0.014). The puskesmas is expected to provide more information in the puskesmas or posyandu environment such as posters, leaflets, banners related to the importance of increasing mother's knowledge about IMD. Keywords: Increasing Mother's Knowledge About IMD, Mother's Attitude Towards IMD  ABSTRAK Angka Kematian Bayi (AKB) yang terus meningkat merupakan suatu permasalahan besar bagi suatu negara, dikarenakan AKB ini merupakan indikator yang mencerminkan tingkat pembangunan kesehatan yang berkualitas hidup masyarakat dari suatu negara. Sejak 2015 lalu, dunia mulai bekerja keras kearah agenda pengembangan global yang baru, yaitu Suistainable Devlopment Goals (SDGs) yang bertujuan untuk menurunkan AKB sekurang-kurangnya 12 per 1000 kelahiran hidup pada tahun 2030 . Inisiasi Menyusu Dini (IMD) adalah meletakkan bayi secara tengkurap di dada atau perut ibu sehingga kulit bayi melekat pada kulit ibu yang dilakukan sekurang-kurangnya satu jam segera setelah lahir. Jika kontak tersebut terhalang oleh kain atau dilakukan kurang dari satu jam dianggap belum sempurna dan dianggap tidak melakukan IMD (Kementerian Kesehatan RI, 2018). Untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Edukasi Tentang Inisiasi Menyusui Dini (Imd) Dan Bounding Attachment Terhadap Ibu Post Partum Untuk Proses Menyusui Di Poned Puskesmas Rawamerta Kabupaten Karawang Tahun 2023. Analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini di Puskesmas Rawamerta pada bulan Februari 2023 sebanyak 30 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Ada pengaruh edukasi IMD terhadap Peningkatan Pengetahun Ibu (p value = 0,014). Kepada puskesmas diharapkan mengadakan Memperbanyak informasi – informasi di lingkungan puskesmas atau posyandu seperti poster, leaflet, spanduk – spanduk terkait pentingnya Peningkatan Pengetahun Ibu Tentang IMD. Kata Kunci: Peningkatan Pengetahuan Ibu Tentang IMD, Sikap Ibu Terhadap IMD.

Abstract

The ideology and social-political viewpoints of the author have an impact on their texts. Students should thus assess their reading and writing assignments from several angles and avoid taking any material at face value. However, there is still a lack of literacy practice in the EFL environment that goes beyond breaking down linguistic elements and comprehending the surface material of the texts. As a result, educators should switch from conventional literacy to critical literacy. Beyond just decoding words, critical literacy interprets them in light of their context to conclude the social, political, and ideological viewpoints expressed in the text. This research aims to determine if using a storybook and the four resources model of critical literacy may help first- semester students in the English Language Education Study Program at Universitas Bale Bandung practice critical literacy. The four resources model suggested by Luke and Freebody (1999) served as the foundation for the text discussions. Focus group interviews, classroom observations, and notebooks they kept while researching a tale were all used to gather the data. The results demonstrated that including an account and four resources help pupils strengthen their critical thinking skills. Through breaking codes exercises, discussion of the storybook during the meaning-making stage, comprehension of the story's structural elements and social function during the text-use phase, and critical discussion of the storybook, the students could identify the writer's language choice and challenge social norms. Despite its drawbacks and limitations, this research shows that critical literacy practice is feasible in EFL contexts, particularly in reading classroom.
