Abstract

Abstract

Abstract-This study aims to analyze the effect of vehicle age (year of assembly) and engine capacity (CC) on exhaust emissions of injection motorcycles using RON 92 fuel. The exhaust emissions tested include carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC), and carbon dioxide (CO₂). The method used is an experimental quantitative approach with direct texting on six EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) technology motorcycles from various assembly years and engine capacities. Measurements were made using a gas analyzer under idle conditions for 30 minutes. The results showed that motorcycles with older assembly years (2009) and smaller engine capacities (110cc) tended to produce higher CO and HC emissions than newer vehicles. However, emission levels are also influenced by vehicle maintenance conditions, not just age and engine capacity. This study is expected to be a reference in efforts to control air pollution and increase public awareness of the importance of vehicle maintenance and the use of environmentally friendly fuels

Abstract

The livestock sector plays a significant role in providing quality feed to support the growth and productivity of poultry. Vegetables are widely used as an alternative feed, but the chopping process is still often done manually, which is time-consuming, labor-intensive, and produces uneven cuts. This study aims to design and build a vegetable chopper equipped with three types of blades and a chopping capacity of 1 kg per minute. The research method includes literature studies, conceptual design, manufacturing process, and testing of the chopped results. The machine consists of a 2.2 kW electric motor with 2850 RPM, an 8 cm long shaft, and three types of blades. The test results show that using three blades produces the most uniform chopped results, meeting the poultry feed standards (50–100 mm). This tool is expected to assist small and medium-scale farmers in preparing poultry feed more efficiently and hygienically.
