Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the talaqqi method on the Qur’an reading ability of fourth-grade students at SDIT Nuur Alaa Nuur, South Tambun. This research employed a quantitative experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population consisted of 20 students divided into two groups: 10 students in the experimental group and 10 in the control group. Data collection techniques included oral tests, observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The hypothesis testing using the t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 with t<sub>count</sub> = 15.162 > t<sub>table</sub> = 2.262, thus H<sub>0</sub> was rejected and H<sub>1</sub> was accepted. The average posttest score of the experimental group (77.9) was higher than that of the control group (71.8). These findings indicate that the talaqqi method significantly improves students' Qur’an reading ability. This study recommends the implementation of the talaqqi method as an alternative for Qur’anic learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of the Abacaga book in developing literacy skills of children aged 5-6 years at SPS Flamboyan 1 Bekasi City. Literacy skills are fundamental abilities that serve as the foundation for children's future academic success. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of five teachers directly involved in teaching using the Abacaga book. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles & Huberman model through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that learning planning was carried out systematically through daily lesson plans adjusted to children's developmental stages. Evaluation was conducted authentically through direct observation and portfolio assessment. Collaboration between teachers and parents proved to be a key success factor in implementing the Abacaga book. The advantages of this book lie in its attractive visual design and systematic gradual approach, while its limitations include limited book availability and activity variations. Challenges faced include differences in children's abilities, time constraints, and lack of parental involvement, which can be addressed through creative approaches and intensive communication. This study concludes that the Abacaga book is effective in developing early childhood literacy skills, provided it is supported by thorough planning, continuous evaluation, and close collaboration between teachers and parents.
