This study aims to determine the effect of the talaqqi method on the Qur’an reading ability of fourth-grade students at SDIT Nuur Alaa Nuur, South Tambun. This research employed a quantitative experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population consisted of 20 students divided into two groups: 10 students in the experimental group and 10 in the control group. Data collection techniques included oral tests, observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The hypothesis testing using the t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 with tcount = 15.162 > ttable = 2.262, thus H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. The average posttest score of the experimental group (77.9) was higher than that of the control group (71.8). These findings indicate that the talaqqi method significantly improves students' Qur’an reading ability. This study recommends the implementation of the talaqqi method as an alternative for Qur’anic learning at the elementary school level.
