Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain the method of calculating coal volume using Gemcom Surpac 6.3 software. This research also aims to present the amount of coal tonnage in comparison to volume calculations for the period of November 2022. Calculating coal volume is crucial in determining the quantity of mineral deposits. This volume calculation is done as accurately and precisely as possible to produce accurate volume and tonnage. The method used in this research is net volume calculation (grid/borrow pit), where the excavation volume is the difference between cut and fill during a specific period. The data used in this research is secondary data. The results of this research are in the form of coal volume calculation and coal tonnage for one month of excavation in November 2022 using Gemcom Surpac software with the net volume method. From the calculation results, the coal volume is 139,309.26 tons, with each seam M being 66,116.02 tons, seam Q1 being 33,563.89 tons, and seam Q3 being 39,629.35 tons. For the density of newly excavated coal seams, it is 1.00, so it can be said that whatever the calculated coal volume using Gemcom Surpac software is the result of the tonnage itself. The result of coal volume calculation also has a standard deviation value of 1.96%. The calculation result does not exceed the standard deviation set by PT Ansaf Inti Resources, which is ≤ 3%

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing interest of the people of Samarinda City in badminton. The growing enthusiasm has led to a rising demand for accessible and accurate information regarding badminton court rentals. With numerous courts available, there is a need for an information system that can help the public find and choose courts that best suit their needs and preferences. The aim of this study is to design and develop a WebGIS (Web-based Geographic Information System) that maps the distribution of paid badminton courts in Samarinda City. This WebGIS provides not only spatial information but also detailed attribute data, including court names, addresses, available facilities, opening hours, rental prices, and visual documentation in the form of interior photos and exterior videos of the buildings. This system is intended to assist users in easily accessing information and receiving recommendations for suitable courts. The method used in this study is the Geographic Information System (GIS) approach, which functions to manage, analyze, and present both spatial and non-spatial data. Data processing is conducted using QGIS software, and the WebGIS is published using the NextGIS Connect plugin for online display. The result of this research is an interactive WebGIS that presents the distribution of 44 paid badminton courts across Samarinda City. Each location point is equipped with detailed information, including the name, address, facilities, coordinates, operating hours, rental prices, contact details, photos, and video documentation of the location. The distribution of courts includes: 8 courts in Sungai Pinang District, 7 in Samarinda Ulu, 6 in Loa Janan Ilir, 5 in Samarinda Utara, 5 in Samarinda Kota, 5 in Sambutan, 4 in Sungai Kunjang, 2 in Samarinda Seberang, and 1 court each in Palaran and Samarinda Ilir Districts

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine land cover changes in Baubau City, Southeast Sulawesi Province, in 2015, 2019, and 2023. As a center of economic and social activity, Baubau City is experiencing rapid regional development, necessitating an analysis of changes in its land use. This study also aims to identify the types of land that have undergone changes and the factors influencing these changes. The method used in this study is spatial analysis using Landsat 8 satellite imagery with a supervised classification technique using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm. The land cover types analyzed include clouds, forest land, agricultural land, open land, and settlements. The data used is Landsat 8 satellite imagery from 2015, 2019, and 2023. The imagery data was then processed using ArcGIS software to identify and map changes that occurred between years. The research process included data collection, image processing, classification, change analysis, and map creation. The results of the study indicate that from 2015 to 2023, there were significant changes in land cover in Baubau City. In 2019, some areas were covered by clouds, affecting land interpretation results, but a trend of change was still visible. Agricultural land showed a decreasing trend in area from 76.99 km² in 2015 to 68.51 km² in 2019, and continued to shrink to 34.53 km² in 2023, so that agricultural land showed a narrowing. In 2015, the area of residential land was recorded at 21.51 km², then shrank to 14.01 km² in 2019, and increased sharply to 36.33 km² in 2023, so that residential land showed an increase. Forest land has consistently increased, from 116.16 km² in 2015 to 121.09 km² in 2019, and continues to grow to 138.95 km² in 2023, resulting in forest land shrinking. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the direction of Baubau City's development tends towards residential expansion, displacing agricultural land. Therefore, sustainable spatial management is needed to maintain ecological functions.
