<![CDATA[This study analyzes the forms of silence, slips of the tongue and public perception at the presidential and vice-presidential debates in 2024. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods with data sources in the form of video recordings of presidential and vice-presidential debates in 2024 located on Najwa Shihab's YouTube account, the perceptions of each character and the perceptions of the audience who directly watched the debate from beginning to end. Based on the research that has been done, 136 times of silence and slippage data were found. Silence data amounted to 69 times and slips of the tongue 67 times. Silence is divided into two, namely 42 filled silences and 27 silent silences. While the slips of the tongue were found 36 times of anticipation errors, 21 times of transposition errors, five nervous errors, one time malapropism errors and five times perseveration errors. The presidential candidate who often makes language errors in silence is Prabowo Subianto by making mistakes 37 times, while Anies Baswedan tends to slip his tongue 20 times. In the final results, the researchers concluded that the slips of the tongue and slips of the tongue made by each presidential and vice presidential candidate did not affect the results of the vote during the election. Â AbstrakPenelitian ini menganalisis bentuk-bentuk senyapan, selip lidah serta persepsi publik pada debat capres dan cawapres tahun 2024. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif dengan sumber data berupa rekaman video debat capres dan cawapres tahun 2024 yang berada di akun YouTube Najwa Shihab, persepsi dari masing-masing tokoh serta persepsi dari penonton yang turut langsung menonton jalannya debat dari awal sampai akhir. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan ditemukan 136 kali data senyapan dan selip lidah. Data senyapan berjumlah 69 kali dan selip lidah 67 kali. Senyapan terbagi menjadi dua yaitu senyapan terisi berjumlah 42 kali dan senyapan diam sebanyak 27 kali. Sedangkan pada selip lidah ditemukan sejumlah 36 kali kekeliruan antisipasi, 21 kali kekeliruan transposisi, lima kekeliruan grogi, satu kali kekeliruan malapropisme dan lima kali kekeliruan perseverasi. Capres yang sering melakukan kesalahan berbahasa dalam senyapan yakni Prabowo Subianto dengan melakuka kesalahan sebanyak 37 kali, sedangkan Anies Baswedan cenderung sering melakukan selip lidah sebanyak 20 kali. Pada hasil akhir peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa senyapan dan selip lidah yang dilakukan oleh masing-masing capres dan cawapres tidak mempengaruhi hasil dari perolehan suara pada saat pemilu.]]>
