Abstract

People with HIV/AIDS are people who have been positively infected with HIV/AIDS. Comprehensive family support, namely informational, emotional, rewarding and instrumental support can have a major impact on individuals to live a sustainable life. Family support for people with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in North Halmahera Regency shows that each respondent has different perceptions in terms of providing support to people with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) stating that in providing 4 family support, namely informational support, emotional support, appreciation, and instrumental. Information support, respondents who stated that they provided informational support to people with HIV/AIDS, namely respondents 1, 4 and respondents 2, 3 stated that they did not provide or receive information support from their families. Emotional support, all respondents stated that they provide emotional support to people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). Appreciation support, respondents who give awards to PLWHA in the form of appreciation support, namely respondents 1, and 4, while respondents 2 and 3, do not receive appreciation support so that respondent 2 experiences rejection in the social environment. While the instrumental support, instrumental support in this study, it can be concluded that respondents 1, 3, 4 provide instrumental support as a whole while respondent 2 only gets partial instrumental support.

Abstract

The background of this research is that therapeutic communication has four stages, namely pre-interaction, orientation, and work and termination stages. This study aims to determine the description of the application of therapeutic communication by nurses to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This study uses a qualitative method. The results of research R1, R2, R3, and R4 state that nurses can understand actions towards patients, regardless of the patient's status or background. The orientation stage is the stage that begins with a meeting with the patient. R1 introducing himself by establishing an initial rapport with the patient is an important first step in establishing a therapeutic relationship. This research focuses on four main aspects, namely communication about care, the goals and functions of each treatment, motivation and psychological environment, communication with total care and partial care patients, and communication with total care patients. The research concludes that communication with total care patients was more effective than with partial care patients because patients more easily received clear and detailed responses from health workers. This research also emphasizes the importance of transparency and concern for patients, as well as the importance of communication with partial care patients.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan selama 1 hari pada persekutuan wanita jemaat Doraino Wariino Kecamatan Tobelo yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan persekutuan wanita jemaat tentang perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat serta melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan untuk mendeteksi dini kadar asam urat, gula darah dan koleterol. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan oleh dosen Program Studi Keperawatan Universitas Hein Namotemo. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dan pemeriksaan kesehatan. Tahapan pelaksanaan diawali dengan penyuluhan tentang perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) yang disampaikan oleh dosen program studi Keperawatan Universitas Hein Namotemo, yang dilanjutkan dengan diskusi dan tanya jawab. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pemeriksanaan  kesehatan yang mencakup pemeriksaan kadar asam urat, gula darah dan kolesterol. Hasil evaluasi terhadap kegiatan pemeriksanaan kesehatan menunjukkan bahwa persekutuan wanita jemaat mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan tentang perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) dibandingkan sebelum dilakukan penyuluhan. Hasil pemeriksanaan kesehatan menunjukkan bahwa sejumlah wanita di jemaat Doraino Wariino Kecamatan Tobelo memiliki kadar kolesterol, asam urat, dan gula darah di atas rentang normal

Abstract

Narkotika dan obat-obatan terlarang telah menjadi ancaman nyata yang dapat menghancurkan Bangsa Indonesia. Bangsa Indonesia dihadapkan pada ancaman hilangnya sebuah generasi penerus bangsa di masa depan. Permasalahan terkait narkoba menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang sejak dahulu memerlukan penanganan secara serius. Kegiatan Pengembangan Kapasitas P4GN pada Lembaga Adat dan Komunitas Berbasis Kearifan Lokal memiliki peranan dan fungsi budaya untuk menjadikan masyarakat aktif dan produktif. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan wawasan dan peningkatan kegiatan, sinergitas dan koordinasi dengan komunitas kearifan lokal /lembaga adat serta kebudayaan untuk berperan aktif pada kegiatan-kegiatan/Seni/budaya denqan memasukan pencegahan narkoba. Diharapkan juga bahwa komunitas menjadi sebagai ujung tombak untuk menciptakan masyarakat yang bebas narkoba. Kegiatan ini dilakukan oleh BNN Kabupaten Halmahera Utara dan dihadiri oleh 30 peserta.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between nurse caring and patient satisfaction at the Tobelo Regional General Hospital. The research employs a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The population of the study consists of all inpatients at the hospital in 2024, with a sample of 375 respondents selected using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through a questionnaire containing questions about nurse caring behavior and patient satisfaction levels. The results of this study are expected to provide a better understanding of the importance of nurse caring in enhancing patient satisfaction in inpatient settings. The implications of this research are anticipated to serve as a basis for improving the quality of healthcare services in hospitals, particularly in enhancing nurse-patient interactions and attention. This study contributes to strengthening the relationship between nurse caring and patient satisfaction, as well as providing a foundation for further development in improving the quality of healthcare services in hospitals.   Keyword: patient satisfaction, nurse caring

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan selama 1 hari pada kader posyandu Desa Buli Kecamatan Maba yang bertujuan untuk upaya meningkatkan kapasitas kader posyandu dalam pencegahan dan penurunan angka stunting di Kecamatan Maba. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan oleh dosen dan tenaga kependidikan Program Studi Keperawatan, Universitas Hein Namotemo. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dan diskusi. Tahapan pelaksanaan diawali dengan penyuluhan tentang stunting yang disampaikan oleh dosen dan tenaga kependidikan program studi Keperawatan Universitas Hein Namotemo, yang dilanjutkan dengan diskusi dan tanya jawab. Hasil dari kegiatan penyuluhan kader posyandu mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan tentang pencegahan dan penanganan stunting di Kecamatan Maba.

Abstract

This community service was carried out for 1 day for the community in Togihoro, Kusuri Village, West Tobelo District aimed to increasing public knowledge about non-communicable diseases and conduct health checks as a form of screening test to detect uric acid, blood sugar and choleterol levels early. This activity was carried out by lecturers and students of the Hein Namotemo University, Nursing Department. The methods used were counseling and medical examinations. The implementation stage begins with counseling on non-communicable diseases (PTM) delivered by a lecturer in the Nursing Department at Hein Namotemo University, followed by discussion. Then proceed with a health examination which includes checking uric acid levels, blood sugar and cholesterol. The results of the evaluation of health checkup activities show that the community has increased knowledge about non-communicable diseases (PTM) compared to before the education was carried out. The results of health examinations showed that a number of residents of Togihoro, Kusuri Village, West Tobelo District were suffering from non-communicable diseases such as cholesterol, uric acid, and diabetes.
