Basic Christian Community is a way of life for the Church of Christ's disciples in society. The community is present in the midst of society to live out and proclaim the Gospel of Christ for families and society through fellowship, worship, preaching, witnessing and community service. Many members and administrators of the community do not understand and appreciate well and deeply the nature of the Basic Christian Community. The research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the understanding of Basic Christian Community administrators regarding the nature of the community. The research was carried out using a quantitative approach, and the type of research was a survey. The research respondents consisted of the community administrators at the Santa Maria Ratu Damai Slahung Station, Ponorogo. The main variables of this research are the Basic Christian Community, the purpose and function of the community, community members and administrators, and the relationship between the parish and the community. The results of the research data analysis revealed that majority of respondents perceived that Basic Christian Community is the way of life for Christ's disciples in the Church. The results of the research data analysis also indicated that the community was formed with the aim of experiencing the 5 aspects of Church life (fellowship, worship, preaching, witnessing and community service) both in the family and society.

Baptism is a sacrament instituted and used by God Himself through Christ to purify, sanctify and to save human being out of the power of evil spirit. Baptism celebration maintaining in a proper and faithful manner will be brought about the fullness grace and favor of God to the Catholic faithful. The experiences of the Catholic faithful regarding God’s grace and favor should not be only responded by full faith but also be properly responded by full action to bring it to the entire nations and human races. The Catholic Church as a communion of Christ disciples has been sent and guided by the Holy Spirit to spread out such grace and favor of God to all nations. Pastoral assembly of Surabaya Diocese conducted in 2019 strongly articulated that Baptism is a mean exactly used by God Himself to channel His grace and salvation to the entire human beings. Hence, the Disciples of Christ have to fully respond it by full faith and opened hart. Christ Himself has sent His disciples to collectively spread out the grace, favor and salvation of God to all over the world. This good news has to be brought firstly to the inner circle of the Catholic families, neighbours, communities, parishes, and diocese then to the society in general.

Many Catholic couples and families today prefer to choose the easy and shortcut way to solve the problems and challenges related to the family and marriage life. For example, problems of infidelity, economics, domestic violence are often resolved by divorce. This settlement proved to have many negative impacts on the family life. Recognizing these various family challenges and problems, the Surabaya Diocese's pastoral activities during 2023 focussing on the pastoral theme: Living Christ in the Family". During this period, families were guided through various Basic Christian Community's pastoral activities to explore the said pastoral theme. Those activities were part of empowering the faith of Catholic families. The research was conducted with the aim to identify the perception of Catholics at Sumber Bening and Widodaren Basic Christian Communities at Saint Yosef Parish, about the meaning of the Catholic family, discipleship in the family, and empowerment of the Catholic family's faith. The research used a quantitative approach, and the research model used was a survey. The research respondents were heads of Catholic families in the said two Basic Christian Communities. Data collection was carried out using questionnaire techniques, and the data was analyzed descriptively-statistically. The results of the study revealed that majority of respondents said that family is a community and living relationships between individuals who are imbued with the spirit of wholeness, love and gentleness. Families need to have a mature faith in Jesus Christ, and this mature faith requires better and more varied faith empowerment programs and strategies.

Catholic Religious Education in schools is a compulsory subject given by an educator to educate and foster students to develop into individuals with good intellectual and character. One of the goals of Catholic religious education is to foster Christian character in students in addition to developing intellectual abilities. Christian character is a spiritual seed embedded in the self and heart of each individual based on faith in Jesus Christ. Cultivating Christian character through Catholic religious education is an important effort that needs to be done by a Catholic religious teacher as an educator so that students can grow into individuals with Christian character. This study was conducted with the aim of exploring which Christian characters grow as a result of Catholic religious education in schools. This study uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. The informants in this study were seven Catholic religious teachers who were still actively teaching at high schools in Madiun City. The research data analysis activities included reading all research data, reducing research data, presenting research data, interpreting research data, drawing conclusions on the results of research data analysis, and verifying research data. The contribution to this study is to complete and present the Christian character that grows through Catholic teaching that has not been in previous research. The results of this study indicate that the impact produced in efforts to grow and shape the Christian character of students through Catholic teaching in schools is the development of characters of love, sacrifice, and peace in students.

The Church is a dynamic institution because of human and social life continues to be changing from time to time. Based on the social and human changes, the Second Vatican Council called for an Aggiornamento or renewal in order to make the Church to be able to provide relevant and contextual services for all of the faithful people. This Aggiornamento urges the Church to renew itself and be more open to the present social and human condition in an ever-changing society. Based on the background of the research problem, the researcher then formulated this research problem as the following: what is the perception of the basic Christian Community administrators about the typical characteristics of the maturity in faith? The aim of the research is to analyze the perceptions of the Basic Christian Community administrators regarding those characteristics of the maturity in faith. The research applied a quantitative method. The research data analysis used a descriptive and inferential statistics. Data collection for the research used a questionnaire technique. The respondents of the study were Basic Christian Community administrators, namely: Basic Christian Community chairman, Basic Christian Community deputy, secretary, treasurer and other Basic Christian Community administrators in St. Cornelius Parish, Madiun city. The results of the study showed that the majority of respondents viewed Basic Christian Community as the most visible part of the Church's presence as a fellowship of Christ's disciples in society. Respondents believed that the maturity of a person's faith was revealed through such guidance and inclusion of the Holy Spirit in everyday life.

Motivation is the basic thing that moves everyone in achieving the desired goals. In church life, motivation plays an important role, especially for every leader in Church circles, because clear motivation helps every leader to move their members, namely the people, to be more active and involved in church life. The research methodology, which was conducted qualitatively, is expected to reveal how motivation is very important in supporting environmental administrators in ecclesiastical activities.

Pastoral for the Interfaith Marriage is a form of family pastoral practices conducted by Catholic Church for Catholics faithful who conducted a mixed marriage. In the Catholic Church, a mixed marriage has so far been viewed as a difficult problem due to a difference of faith between the coupels (husband and wife).Therefore, the cuples who coducted a mixed marriage basically need very much a pastoral assitance throughouttheir life. This pastoral assitance is actually given in order to enable the couplesto keeptheir promises as to be a faithful in Jesus Christ, and to do everything as far as they can to baptize and to educate their children in a Catholic manner. This scientific research conducted by applying a qualitative research method. This study aimedto analyze the understanding about the interfaith marriage of the couples in the parish of St. Cornelius Madiun who underwent an interfaith marriage; to analyze how far the Church has been carried out any pastoral assitance for those who underwent such interfaith marriage. The results of the study indicated that there were 3 (60%) respondents revealed that the Catholic Church was open to mixed marriage. They understood that mixed marriage wasa marriage conducted between a Catholic faithful and a non-Catholic faithful for various reasons such as accidentally geting a soul mate belong to different religion, married by accident, and due to a parental encouragement. As many as 5 (100%) respondents stated that they did not so far get any pastoral assistance from the Church. They arguedthat they got only a single pastoral assitance when they involved in marriage preparation course.They said that there was no ongoing pastoral assistance given to them. As many as 3 (60%) respondents expressed that their families were so happy since they were able to carry out a Catholic marriage. By carrying out the Catholic marriage their families were more eager to attend the Eucharist together, and tried their best to baptize and to educate their children in a Catholic manner.

Clara Intan Sari Putri “Make a Donation of Scripture Study Activities On the Development and Appreciation of the Faith of Catholics in St. Maria Assumpta Basic Christian Community, Caruban District”. The Holy Scriptures for the Catholics are a source of salvation, because they contain the truth of God's Word. Catholics as the faithful have to read the Scriptures regularly. If they read them regularly then they may naturally explore particular knowledge and values on the Scriptures and at the same time develop their own faith on God. In part of encouraging the Catholics to study and explore the Holy Scriptures, the Catholic Church has dedicated certain months for the Catholics to read and study the Scriptures. This study aimed to explore several aspects regarding the understanding of Catholics about the meaning of the Holy Scriptures, the habit of the Catholics to read the Scriptures, and the effect of reading the Scriptures on the development and appreciation of the Catholics’ faith. In addition, the study also explored the methods used to study the Holy Scriptures. This study used a qualitative method. Data collection was done by personal interview technique. The number of respondents for the study amounted to 5 members of St. Maria Assumpta Basic Christian Community, Caruban District. The respondents were representatives of the community, and activelly involved in the Bible study. The results of study showed that majority of respondents understood enough about the meaning and the values of the Holy Scriptures for their daily life. The study indicated that the respondents did not pay yet serious attention on reading and studying the Scriptures. This was happening because of various obstacles, among others due to their daily activities. The results of study showed that majority of respondents tried to read and explore the Scriptures using digital communication media. The respondents have developed particular efforts to overcome obstacles occuring by trying to be consistent of reading the Scriptures, and building more and more intention to read the Scriptures. The results of study showed that activity of exploring the Holy Scriptures has a significant make a donation on the development and appreciation of the Catholics’ faith. By exploring the Holy Scripture, the faith of the respondents has been growing stronger and much better. However, this was only applied to adults, while young Catholics in the community were less interested in studying of the Scriptures. This could be happened partly due to the method of studying the Scriptures in the community was not in accordance with the expectations of the young Catholics.

This study conducted to explore varius aspects and components of the Catholic school governance and how those aspects and elements have been truly inspired by the spirit of the Holy Gospel throughout daily education praxices. This study applied a qualitative method. Data collection was carried out by individual interview. However, the researcher then took her own initiative to construct a series of questionnaire for a student comparison data purpose.There were 60 students asked to fill out the questionaires. The result of this study indicatedthat the catholic educators played a very important role in developing Catholic school governance inspired by the spirit of the Holy Gospel. By paying an intensive attention inmanaging various components of the Catholic school based on the spirit of the Holy Gospel then the Catholic Church must be optimistic that the Catholic schools can survive in the future.

The results of observations, that reseaechers has done, show that the majority of teachers still prioritize the formation of cognitive abilities in students rather than instill the spiritual values such as brotherhood, love, repentance, prayer, service and simplicity.The results of this field observation encourage the researcher to do the scientific research with the title: The comprehension and Appreciantion of the Elementary School Teachers of St. Francis of Assisi, Sragen Towards the Spirituality of the SFS Cogregation. This research aims to obtain a deep understanding of the teachers of SD St. Fransiskus Assisi, about the essence of Christian Spirituality and SFS spirituality; analize in what extent the teachers of Elementary School of Francis of Assisi, live their life based on the spirituality of SFS; and analyze the impact of SFS spirituality on the behavior and the work of the teachers’ daily life at St. Elementary School of Francis of Assisi, Sragen. The results of the analysis, based on research data, show that most respondents think that SFS spirituality is seen as a spirituality that emphasizes love, repentance, prayer, service, brotherhood and simplicity.
