Abstract

Abstract

Polio is an infectious disease that causes permanent paralysis, especially in children of toddler age. The Indonesian government has implemented National Polio Immunization Week (PIN) to prevent the spread of this disease. However, the coverage of the program at the West City Health Center has not met the national target, which is only 75.1% of 95%. This study aims to analyze the influence of behavioral factors on the use of the Polio PIN program. Analytical survey research method with cross-sectional design. The sample amounted to 297 mothers who had toddlers aged 0–59 months, taken by purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed by binary logistic regression test. The results showed that knowledge, attitudes, access to health services, family support, and health worker support had a significant influence on the use of Polio PIN (p < 0.05). Meanwhile, income showed no significant influence (p = 0.119). Behavioral factors are an important factor in the success of immunization programs. Intensive education and counseling efforts need to be carried out to increase community participation.

Abstract

The application of information technology as a health service is carried out at the Community Health Center (Puskesmas) so that along with the development of health service management needs, the government issued an Electronic Health Center Management Information System (SIMPUStronik) to mobilize work. The implementation of the Electronic Health Center Management Information System (SIMPUStronik) is the main need in the era of digitization of health services in Indonesia, especially in the West City Health Center as the health center with the highest accreditation in Gorontalo City. The implementation of SIMPUStronik at the West City Health Center has been going on since 2017, but it still faces various obstacles such as limited technology infrastructure, lack of training for health workers, and additional workload due to systems that have not been optimally integrated with existing workflows. The study used a quantitative approach with a total sampling technique, involving 55 health workers. Effectiveness is measured based on four main indicators, namely, target achievement, adaptability, user satisfaction, and responsibility. The results show that SIMPUStronik has high effectiveness in these four aspects, with the achievement of targets of 91%, adaptability of 91%, user satisfaction of 83%, and responsibility of 85%. The implementation of SIMPUStronik at the West City Health Center is very effective and has a positive impact on improving the performance of health workers. It is recommended for the West City Health Center to continue to be consistent in improving performance and monitoring the shortcomings of SIMPUStronics.

Abstract

Electronic Medical Record (RME) is a digital system that aims to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and quality of health services in hospitals. The Government of Indonesia requires all health facilities, including Otanaha Hospital, to implement RME according to the latest regulations. This study aims to describe the success of the implementation of RME at Otanaha Hospital.A type of descriptive research with quantitative methods. A sample of 113 health workers and administrative staff was selected proportionally simple random. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews, analyzed descriptively. The results of the study showed that the implementation of RME at Otanaha Hospital was considered very good by the majority of users. The quality of RME information is considered adequate and supports clinical services. Management support is strong and contributes to the success of implementation. Users are considered ready and receive effective training, supported by good infrastructure. The satisfaction level is still low, it needs to improve the content, convenience, and speed of the system. The implementation of RME is considered to have not been successful because the efficiency and quality of service have not been optimal. The RME at Otanaha Hospital is good enough, but it needs to improve infrastructure and improve human resource training so that the use of RME is more optimal. Evaluation and development of sustainable systems are important to support the quality of health services.
