<![CDATA[Abstrak - Website Gratispol merupakan portal resmi Pemerintah Provinsi Kalimantan Timur yang diluncurkan pada tahun 2025 sebagai media layanan informasi dan pendaftaran program bantuan pendidikan gratis bagi mahasiswa, Aparatur Sipil Negara jabatan Eselon II, Tenaga Pendidik, dan Dokter Spesialis. Banyaknya jenis pengguna dengan kebutuhan layanan yang berbeda menjadikan aspek usability pada website ini sangat penting untuk meningkatkan keefektifan akses layanan serta meningkatkan kepuasan pengguna. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menemukan permasalahan usability pada website Gratispol menggunakan metode Heuristic Evaluation yang merujuk pada 10 prinsip heuristic untuk menghasilkan perbaikan antarmuka. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi terhadap fitur dan antarmuka website oleh empat evaluator dengan menggunakan dokumen Usability Aspect Report (UAR), kemudian setiap temuan dinilai menggunakan Severity Ratings. Hasil evaluasi mengidentifikasi 9 permasalahan usability, yang terbagi ke dalam dua tingkatan severity ratings: 4 masalah pada skala 2 (Minor Usability Problem) dan 5 masalah pada skala 3 (Major Usability Problem). Permasalahan yang ditemukan didominasi pada prinsip Consistency and Standards, Flexibility and Efficiency of Use, serta Aesthetic and Minimalist Design. Penelitian ini menghasilkan 9 rekomendasi perbaikan desain antarmuka yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas usability, pengalaman pengguna, dan efektivitas layanan Website Gratispol. Kata kunci : Website Gratispol; Usability; Heuristic Evaluation; User Interface; User Experience; Abstract - The Gratispol website is the official portal of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, launched in 2025 as a medium for information services and registration for free educational assistance programs for students, Echelon II State Civil Servants, Educators, and Specialist Doctors. The large number of users with different service needs makes the usability aspect of this website very important to improve the effectiveness of service access and increase user satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to find usability problems on the Gratispol website using the Heuristic Evaluation method which refers to 10 heuristic principles to produce interface improvements. The evaluation was carried out through observations of the website features and interface by four evaluators using the Usability Aspect Report (UAR) document, then each finding was assessed using Severity Ratings. The evaluation results identified 9 usability problems, which were divided into two levels of severity ratings: 4 problems on a scale of 2 (Minor Usability Problem) and 5 problems on a scale of 3 (Major Usability Problem). The problems found were dominated by aspects of visibility of system status, user control and freedom, consistency and standards, error prevention, flexibility and efficiency of use, and aesthetic and minimalist design. This research yielded nine recommendations for interface design improvements that are expected to enhance the usability, user experience, and effectiveness of the Gratispol website.
