Abstract

Wabah Penyakit Mulut dan Kuku (PMK) dan Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) yang melanda Koperasi Margomulyo, Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur pada Juli 2022 menyebabkan kerugian ekonomi bagi peternak sapi perah dan koperasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi sumber kerugian, nilai kontribusi masing-masing sumber kerugian peternak, serta mengukur nilai kerugian koperasi akibat wabah. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode survei, dengan responden yang dipilih secara purposive sebanyak 63 orang dari 73 peternak yang memenuhi syarat analisis kerugian dampak wabah PMK dan LSD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sumber kerugian meliputi: kematian ternak, jual paksa, gangguan reproduksi, penurunan produksi susu, dan recovery usaha. Jumlah kerugian peternak akibat PMK dan LSD sebesar Rp. 7,25 miliar, dengan rincian kematian sapi 18,88%, jual paksa 45,21%, gangguan reproduksi 8,62%, penurunan produksi susu 14,02%, dan biaya recovery 13,28%, dengan jual paksa sebagai kontributor terbesar terhadap kerugian peternak. Koperasi mengalami kerugian sebesar Rp 143 juta akibat penurunan produksi susu dan subsidi pakan. Kerugian terbesar dialami oleh peternak sebagai pelaku usaha utama yang secara langsung menanggung dampak ekonomi dari wabah. ABSTRACT The outbreak of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) and Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) that hit the Margomulyo Cooperative, Malang Regency, East Java in July 2022 caused economic losses for dairy farmers and cooperatives. This study aims to identify the source of loss, the contribution value of each source of loss for farmers and measure the value of cooperative losses due to the outbreak. The research method used a survey method, with respondents selected purposively, with as many as 63 people from 73 farmers who met the requirements for the analysis of the loss of the impact of FMD and LSD outbreaks. The results of the study show that the sources of losses include: livestock deaths, forced selling, reproductive disorders, decreased milk production, and business recovery. The total losses of farmers due to FMD and LSD amounted to Rp. 7.25 billion, with details of cattle deaths of 18.88%, forced selling 45.21%, reproductive disorders 8.62%, decrease in milk production of 14.02%, and recovery costs of 13.28%, with forced selling as the largest contributor to farmers' losses. Cooperatives suffered losses of Rp 143 million due to a decrease in milk production and feed subsidies. The biggest losses are experienced by farmers as the main business actors who directly bear the economic impact of the outbreak.
