Abstract

Abstract   Adolescents require adequate reproductive health knowledge to recognize and avoid risky sexual behavior. This study aimed to analyze differences in knowledge scores about sexual activity before and after an educational intervention among female members of the Adolescent Information and Counseling Center (PIK-R). A pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design without a control group was used. The population comprised 30 PIK-R extracurricular members, and 21 female students were selected through purposive sampling based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The study was conducted on May 9, 2025. Data were analyzed using a paired-samples t-test. The mean knowledge score increased from 73.33 (SD = 9.79) at pretest to 87.14 (SD = 9.95) at posttest, representing a mean increase of 13.81 points [t(20) = -9.46; p < 0.001]. These findings indicate higher knowledge scores immediately after the intervention. Because the study had no control group and the posttest was administered 30 minutes after education, the findings do not establish long-term effectiveness. PIK-R may serve as a setting for reproductive health education that requires further evaluation.
