Abstract

Developing students' talents and interests at the elementary school level is an important part of creating quality and character graduates. This study aims to describe the strategies of class teachers in developing students' talents and interests at SD Negeri 1 Lambheu, as well as identifying supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the development strategy is carried out comprehensively and adaptively, including through informal identification of student personalities, selection of flexible and interest-based learning systems, application of learning methods and techniques that suit student characters, and determination of clear success criteria. The learning approach is participatory and humanistic, which allows students to express their potential comfortably and naturally. Supporting factors in the implementation of this strategy include student enthusiasm, active teacher involvement, principal support, and collaboration with parents. On the other hand, the obstacles faced include limited supporting facilities for activities, a tight academic schedule, and low understanding of some parents regarding the importance of non-academic activities. This study recommends that schools improve facilities and infrastructure, adjust learning schedules, strengthen communication with parents, and develop a reward system and cooperation with external parties. With the right strategy and adequate support, the development of students' talents and interests can be carried out optimally and sustainably.

Abstract

This purpose of the study is to determine the influence of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model on Indonesian language learning outcomes. The research used a quantitative approach with an experimental design and involved fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 31 Banda Aceh as subjects. The sample consisted of two classes: an experimental class that used the CIRC model and a control class that used conventional learning. Data were collected through pretest and posttest and analyzed using normality, homogeneity, Wilcoxon, and Mann-Whitney tests.The results show that the CIRC learning model significantly influences improving students' learning outcomes in identifying main ideas and comprehending the content of a text. This is evidenced by a p-value of less than 0.05 on the Wilcoxon test, which indicates a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores of the experimental group, with an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 (0.000 < 0.05). Furthermore, a Z-value of -4.139 suggests that the posttest scores of the control group also showed a significant increase compared to their pretest scores. The Mann-Whitney test also revealed a significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups.Based on these findings, the CIRC learning model is proven to be more effective in improving the Indonesian language learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 31 Banda Aceh compared to conventional learning models.

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is the execution of a curriculum that provides teachers and educational units the freedom to design and carry out flexible learning, focusing on deepening concepts and strengthening student competencies according to the needs and interests of the students. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in the learning process and to assess teacher performance in supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum during the learning process. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The data analysis methods consist of data reduction, data presentation, and data verification, while the questionnaire uses a Likert scale. Based on the research results, it is known that (1) the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in the learning process at SD Negeri 67 Percontohan Banda Aceh has been running well, including in learning planning, learning implementation, and learning evaluation; (2) teacher performance in supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in the learning process received a high score, which means that teacher performance is very much in accordance with the rules and provisions of the Merdeka Curriculum.
