Abstract

ABSTRACT The low level of critical thinking skills among third-grade elementary school students in science learning, particularly on the topic of the butterfly life cycle, is the focus of this study. This research aims to analyze the implementation of unplugged learning in improving students’ critical thinking skills. The method used is a quantitative approach with descriptive and verificative research types. The subjects were 31 third-grade students at MIN 1 Pekanbaru. Data were collected through pretest and posttest and analyzed using N-Gain. The results indicate an improvement in students’ abilities after the implementation of unplugged learning, suggesting its potential to support critical thinking development and create more meaningful learning experiences.
