Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of slang language in educational content on TikTok through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Data were collected from various relevant scholarly articles published within the last five years and processed using content analysis techniques. The findings reveal that slang in educational content appears in several forms such as abbreviations, acronyms, and loanwords from foreign languages, which are employed to enhance the appeal and effectiveness of material delivery. The use of slang has been shown to increase learning interest, facilitate comprehension, and create closeness between content creators and audiences. Nevertheless, negative impacts were also identified, including a decline in formal language proficiency and the mixing of language registers. Therefore, slang usage must be managed wisely in educational contexts to ensure it continues to support the quality of the Indonesian language. The role of educators is crucial in guiding students to balance informal and formal language use.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of instilling moral values in children from an early age through engaging and educational media. Animated films can serve as a medium for character education because they are capable of conveying moral messages through stories, dialogue, and the behavior of characters. This study aims to analyze the moral values found in the animated film Kiko, specifically the episode “Searching for a Rare Flower.” This study employs a qualitative approach using content analysis. The primary data source consists of the Kiko animated film episode “Searching for the Rare Flower,” while secondary data was obtained from various journals related to the research. Data collection techniques involved observation and documentation, achieved by repeatedly watching the film and documenting scenes that demonstrate moral values. Based on the research findings, the Kiko animated film episode “Searching for the Rare Flower” contains several moral values, namely responsibility, perseverance, mutual aid, and friendship. These values are demonstrated through the actions and interactions of the characters as they face various problems and challenges. Thus, the animated film Kiko can serve as a medium for character education and the instillation of moral values in children’s daily lives.
