Abstract

Through Pancasila Education, this study aims to identify strategies used by teachers to prevent and address bullying behavior in fifth-grade students. This study also examines the elements that support and hinder the use of these strategies. This study used a qualitative method with a case study type. While data analysis procedures included data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, data collection techniques included observation and interviews. The research findings indicate that: 1) teacher strategies in preventing and addressing student bullying include instilling character education values linked to learning materials, creating a positive learning environment, using a variety of learning methods, such as role-playing, and teachers demonstrating role models. They are firm and responsive in handling bullying cases, including providing moral guidance for perpetrators and support for victims. Handling bullying cases is also supported by collaboration between the school and parents. 2) Factors that facilitate and hinder the implementation of teacher strategies encompass several aspects. Supporting factors include the existence of an anti-bullying declaration in schools and relevant Pancasila Education materials. Inhibiting factors include students' low understanding of bullying, some students' unwillingness to admit their actions, lack of parental supervision, and the influence of technology and media that have the potential to reinforce negative behavior.
