Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth how the process of producing public service advertisement scripts at Radio Tegar Beriman 95,3 FM is carried out, including the stages implemented and the obstacles encountered in practice. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques consisting of participatory observation, structured interviews, and literature studies. The results show that the process of producing public service advertisement scripts is conducted systematically through four interrelated stages, namely issue identification, audience research and data collection, script writing, and production and broadcasting. Four main obstacles were identified in the process of producing public service advertisement scripts: limited human resources, suboptimal facilities and infrastructure, challenges in obtaining accurate and up-to-date data, as well as broadcasters’ health conditions and repeated revision processes. Despite these obstacles, the public service advertisements broadcast by Radio Tegar Beriman 95.3 FM received positive responses from the public, as reflected in the increased public participation in local government services after the information was aired. This study concludes that the public service advertisements produced by Radio Tegar Beriman 95.3 FM have proven effective in delivering public information to the community, although several obstacles still need to be improved in the future.
