Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of elementary students’ self-awareness in recognizing their strengths, weaknesses, learning behavior, and self-development targets. This study aims to describe the implementation of Student-Led Conference (SLC) in the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), analyze its role in fostering students’ self-awareness, and identify its challenges and solutions. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach at SD Cahaya Bangsa Utama, involving first- and third-grade students as the research subjects. Data were collected through observation, teacher interviews, and documentation. The findings show that SLC was implemented through mind maps, self-evaluation, and student presentations in front of parents and teachers. These activities contributed to fostering students’ self-awareness, self-confidence, ownership of learning, and reflective skills. The challenges included differences in students’ confidence levels, limited reflective ability, and suboptimal parental participation.
