Abstract

Global geopolitical shifts and the threat of an energy crisis have forced Indonesia to accelerate its transition to renewable energy through the mandatory B50 Biodiesel policy. The acceleration of this macro-level policy reflects President Prabowo Subianto’s vision of self-sufficiency, which requires validation from the digital public sphere. This study aims to analyze TikTok users’ sentiments toward the Biodiesel B50 program while exploring public perceptions of Prabowo Subianto’s visionary leadership style. The research method employed is a mixed-methods approach based on Big Data. Primary data consisting of 2,424 textual comments were purposively extracted using the Apify platform, processed using Orange Data Mining, and mathematically calculated via Microsoft Excel. The results show that neutral opinions dominate at 43% (1,054 comments), followed by positive sentiment at 42% (1,026 comments), while negative sentiment constituted the smallest share at 14% (344 comments). Aggregately, the cumulative level of digital public acceptance reached 85%, confirming the regime’s strong degree of digital legitimacy. Conversely, the 14% of critical sentiment acts as a technocratic early warning system regarding concerns over the food-versus-fuel dilemma. This study concludes that Prabowo Subianto’s visionary leadership style has been well-validated in the sociological cyberspace.
