Abstract

Early reading literacy is a basic skill that determines academic success, but many elementary school students are not yet fully developed. The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) opens up opportunities for adaptive, personal, and interactive learning, although the study on low-grade students is still limited. This study uses Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the PRISMA approach to 15 articles (2018–2025) through systematic stages to ensure quality. Results show AI improves personalization, real-time feedback, student engagement, and motivation, as well as has an impact on improving word recognition, reading fluency, and reading comprehension. This study affirms AI as a pedagogical strategy and a reference for the development of technology-based learning in primary education
