Abstract

The 21st century demands students’ mastery of creative thinking skills as an essential competency; however, these skills are still considered relatively low. The implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model facilitates students in solving problems through project-based activities. The PjBL model was implemented using E-LKPD, a digital teaching material designed to guide students in carrying out learning activities systematically. This study aimed to develop a digitally integrated Project Based Learning-based E-LKPD on environmental pollution material to train students’ creative thinking skills. Digital integration, particularly through Artificial Intelligence (AI), functioned as a provider of additional idea stimuli, feedback, and enriched information sources. The parameters measured included validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Validity was assessed based on presentation, content, and language aspects. Practicality was evaluated through learning implementation and student responses. Effectiveness was determined using the N-Gain test based on pre-test and post-test results. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method involving 30 tenth-grade high school students as research subjects. Data were analyzed descriptively using quantitative approaches through validity percentages, learning implementation, response percentages, and N-Gain scores. The results showed that the developed E-LKPD achieved a validity score of 95% (very valid), practicality scores of 92.81% and 97.77% (very practical), and effectiveness with an N-Gain score of 0.75 (high category), along with improvements across all indicators of creative thinking skills ranging from moderate to high categories. Therefore, the AI-integrated Project Based Learning (PjBL)-based E-LKPD was declared feasible, practical, and effective for biology learning.
