Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of teachers in honing the interests and talents of students at SDN Total Persada, Tangerang. The research focuses on four aspects: (1) school policies and programs; (2) the role of teachers in intracurricular and extracurricular learning; (3) teachers' skills in managing challenges and opportunities; and (4) the impact of program utilization. A qualitative descriptive approach was used with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. According to Andriana et al. (2022), creative and interactive learning media can increase students' responses and learning interest—a finding that aligns with the practices observed at SDN Total Persada. Results showed that SDN Total Persada has structured policies through the School Operational Curriculum (KOSP) encompassing Deep Learning programs and diverse extracurricular activities. Teachers play strategic roles as demonstrators, motivators, facilitators, organizers, and evaluators. These programs positively impacted students' discipline, confidence, creativity, and national-level achievement, including 1st place in O2SN National Swimming 2024 and 1st place in National Floor Gymnastics 2023.
