Abstract

Development of the management of research and development (R&D) has experienced very rapid progress, especially in relation to win business opportunities at the global level. The evolution of R&D management at the global level now has up to the fifth-generation led to the sixth generation, which is characterized by the magnitude of dependence on the information and communication technology as well as the application of the principles of knowledge management in R&D activities. In order to know the development of R&D management in Indonesia, the study focused on the agricultural and estate crops sectors. The analysis is performed against several criteria of operational R&D Management, which are characterized by their respective R&D generation. Results of the study showed that the majority of the operational criteria of R&D management in agriculture and estate crops sectors in Indonesia mostly are still at the third generation. Challenges of R&D facing in agriculture and estate crops sectors in entering a higher R&D generation is increasing capacity of researchers to become more professional as well as a self-managing knowledge workers, focusing on the user or providing solutions for all user problems’, develop a broader job networking (network), an R&D organization that fosters continuous learning and transnational oriented by developing a more open communication and use ICT as an intelligent knowledge processors, as well as implement collaborative strategies in daily activities, and resulting patent/licences.

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies like ChatGPT has made global management easier. Since 2020, AI has been widely utilized for all purposes, notably due to its ease in access for scientific production. This study aims to analyze open-ended questions and responses from web-based survey in Indonesian public research and development (R&D) institutions using topic modeling. A total of 205 data points were obtained through web-based surveys conducted among researchers in Indonesian public R&D institutions. To learn their thoughts on the use of ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-Trained Transformer), two AI language topic modeling, Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) and Principal Component Analysis (PCA), were employed to detect survey topic structures and show the results. Three theme groups represent the institution's research cohort. Based on generational disparities in birth year and functional position level, this study selected the seven most popular topics from three themes of researchers' opinions on ChatGPT. Researchers of certain age generations and functional position levels focused on new AI technologies, efficiency, and production gains, while others valued methodological innovation, ethics, and scientific integrity. When formulating a strategy for incorporating AI into the public R&D institution's future research agendas, it is imperative to include diverse perspectives.

Abstract

When the change has become a necessity for organizational life and it is important to increase the productivity and role of research institutions, it must be done. Change as a necessity needs to be pursued and carried out with a mature strategy to be able to minimize resistance and material and immaterial costs. The immaterial aspect that plays a very important role and as a key is an organizational communication that needs to be prepared as a strategy that can have an extraordinary influence on the success of the organizational change. But what about when these changes are not optimally communicated? The purpose of this study is to examine the dynamics of the phenomenon of organizational communication dynamics in a research institution that carries out organizational change. This research has benefits because it can provide a critical picture and analysis of organizational change in terms of organizational communication dynamics in research institutions. This research method uses a qualitative phenomenological approach to capture the image meaning of a series of events in the process of organizational change in research institutions from the aspect of organizational communication. The phenomenon of organizational change began with various rejections from various levels of employees both researchers and non-researchers who demanded openness and certainty and maintain the honor of the institution as a research institution. The demand for information disclosure is a reflection of the inability of the organization's management to communicate the planned change strategy to cause resistance to the process.

Abstract

Currently the Covid-19 pandemic has affected us a lot, both in personal behavior, or especially in the economic sector which continues to deteriorate due to the closure of regions and / or restrictions on human movement. Many companies have closed, and many have become bankrupt because they had to close their companies. Various stimulus programs and efforts have been made by both the companies themselves and each countries to overcome this problem. On the other hand, in Indonesia the concept of Industry 4.0, which is currently developing rapidly, was proclaimed by President Joko Widodo at the beginning of his second term government. The concept of Industry 4.0 has been developed since 2015 and is now still under developing to be applied in the world. This concept is based on digitalization and ICT networks to carry out production. In addition, the goal of the industrial 4.0 concept is to produce a production system capable of producing revolutionary system that can produce customized product taht being produce in mass production way and therefore able to open up a new market niche. Since then, there are much progress been done by the government in its efforts to apply the industry 4.0 concept to all lines. But the problem is, is it true that what is being implemented is industry 4.0? Also, will the technologies and management concepts promoted by Industry 4.0 be able to overcome the current Covid-19 pandemic conditions if they have been implemented? This paper seeks to explore this theoretically, by looking at key technologies from Industry 4.0 that might solve the problem of the Covid-19 pandemic. There are several technologies from Industry 4.0 that can overcome the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic, for example AI and Additive manufacturing. It is hoped that from the results of this research experience can be drawn for the application of industry 4.0, especially during the current Covid-19 pandemic.Keywords: Industry 4.0, Covid-19 Pandemic, industry challenges

Abstract

This study investigates the key determinants influencing the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the e-commerce sector and examines its impact on marketing performance. The research integrates the Technology–Organization–Environment (TOE) framework and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to explain the relationships among technological readiness, organizational support, environmental pressure, perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEOU), and AI adoption level. A quantitative approach employing Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was conducted on 155 e-commerce SMEs operating in Jakarta, Indonesia. Empirical results reveal that technology, organization, and environment significantly affect perceived usefulness, which in turn strongly drives AI adoption. Perceived usefulness is identified as the most powerful determinant of adoption, whereas perceived ease of use exerts an indirect influence via usefulness perception. Furthermore, AI adoption has a positive and significant effect on marketing performance, particularly in enhancing digital campaign effectiveness, product innovation, and customer loyalty. The findings emphasize that internal readiness and external competitive pressures jointly foster AI-driven digital transformation within SMEs. The study provides both theoretical validation of the TOE–TAM integration and practical guidance for policymakers and business owners to design effective, ethical, and sustainable AI adoption strategies.

Abstract

This study integrates the Grief Cycle with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to explore the emotional dynamics of adopting ChatGPT, a deep learning-based technology, at Indonesia's National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), with implications for enhancing personalized learning in higher education. Synthesizing data from three secondary studies, quantitative TAM analysis, qualitative topic modeling from a 2023 survey, and Grief Cycle analysis of BRIN's organizational changes (2016-2019), this research maps researchers' emotional responses, from denial to acceptance, toward AI adoption. Findings reveal that perceived usefulness drives adoption intent, but ethical concerns, such as risks of dependency and threats to scientific integrity, limit adoption rates. This framework provides novel insights into managing emotional barriers to disruptive technologies in Indonesia's public R&D context. By drawing parallels to higher education, it offers strategies to overcome faculty resistance to AI, supporting personalized learning through adaptive tools like virtual tutors. Policy recommendations, including ethics training and transparency guidelines, promote sustainable and responsible AI adoption in R&D and higher education.

Abstract

The background of this development is the importance of higher order thinking skills for primary school students, to support these abilities, it is necessary to have learning resources that support and are in accordance with technological developments. However, the facts in the school show that existing learning resources are still conventional and have yet to lead to the achievement of higher order thinking. Based on this background, the purpose of this development is to develop HOTS-based digital student worksheets in mathematics learning in primary schools. This research was conducted at SDIT Al-Hujjaj Cilegon City for fifth grade students. The development model used is the ADDIE model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The instruments used to measure the feasibility of this products are expert validation questionnaires consisting of media experts, content experts, and language experts, practicality questionnaires and higher order thinking skills tests. Based on the results of processing the expert validation questionnaire, the results obtained are the media expert's assessment getting an average percentage score of 88% with very feasible criteria, the content expert's assessment getting an average percentage score of 91% with very feasible criteria, and the linguist's assessment getting an average percentage score of 90% with very feasible criteria. The results of processing the practicality questionnaire distributed to teachers and students received a percentage score of 95.2% with very practical criteria. While the test results show the achievement score of students' higher-level thinking skills of 93.8% with very good criteria and above the minimum completeness criteria set at 70. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the student worksheets developed are feasible and practical to use as complementary teaching materials and effective in developing students' critical thinking skills in mathematics learning in primary schools.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan perlu ditanamkan demi keberlangsungan segala makhluk hidup di masa yang akan datang. Namun pada kenyataannya saat ini tingkat kesadaran akan pentingnya menjaga lingkungan masyarakat masih sangat mengkhawatirkan dan sekolah memiliki peran yang signifikan untuk mengembangkan karakter peduli lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana proses pelaksanaan pemanfaatan lingkungan di sekolah adiwiyata, lalu mendeskripsikan faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam pemanfaatan lingkungan di sekolah dan menganalisis implikasi penguatan karakter peduli lingkungan melalui pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah adiwiyata. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dengan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi sebagai alat ukur pengumpulan data. Melalui penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah Adiwiyata sebagai sarana penguatan karakter peduli menggambarkan bahwa pengintegrasian nilai-nilai lingkungan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di lingkungan sekolah menciptakan landasan yang kokoh untuk pembentukan karakter peserta didik yang lebih peduli terhadap lingkungan sekitar. Lebih dari sekadar menjadi program Adiwiyata, pemanfaatan lingkungan di lingkungan sekolah menjadi sarana implementasi nilai-nilai peduli lingkungan dalam tindakan nyata sehari-hari.

Abstract

Pada dasarnya anak berkebutuhan khusus membutuhkan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan strategi dalam penerapan pembelajaran menggambar pada anak tunarungu terhadap kecerdasan visual spasial dan mendeskripsikan faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam penerapan pembelajaran menggambar pada anak tunarungu terhadap kecerdasan visual spasial. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, metode fenomenologi. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan berasal dari Miles dan Huberman meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi atau penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa 1) Strategi pembelajaran menggambar pada anak tunarungu dalam melatih kecerdasan visual spasal meliputi 3 hal penting yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan hasil pembelajaran. 2) Faktor pendukung dari pembelajaran menggambar ini berasal dari fasilitas yang memadai salah satunya tedapat lemari di tiap sudut kelas yang berisi peralatan belajar dan termasuk peralatan untuk menggambar, peran guru yang mampu melayani anak berkebutuhan khusus terutama dalam komunikasi dengan bahasa isyarat BISINDO. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya berasal dari peran orang tua terhadap pembelajaran di rumah misalnya saat orang tua membantu anak mengerjakan pekerjaan rumah namun mereka belum fasih dalam berkomunikasi dengan bahasa isyarat yang digunakan anak saat sekolah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya karakter religius pada peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai peran guru dalam merealisasikan profil pelajar pancasila ditinjau dari aspek karakter religius. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data yang peneliti peroleh dilapangan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru ekstrakurikuler tahfidz, guru kelas IV, dan peserta didik kelas IV SDIT Bina Bangsa Kota Serang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam perencanaan perealisasian profil pelajar pancasila terdapat komponen pembelajaran yang dipersiapkan oleh guru yaitu: 1) memahami tujuan pembelajaran, 2) memahami isi atau materi pembelajaran, 3) penggunaan metode pembelajaran, 4) mempersiapkan media pembelajaran, 5) melakukan evaluasi. Proses pelaksaan guru dalam merealisasikan profil pelajar pancasila dilakukan pada 3 kegiatan, yaitu: 1) pembelajaran intrakurikuler, 2) proyek penguatan profil pelajar pancasila, 3) ekstrakurikuler. Guru juga membangun karakter religius peserta yang dididik melalui budaya positif berupa keteladanan, penguatan, dan pembiasaan. Elemen karakter religius yang terlihat dalam diri peserta didik dalam proses perealisasian profil pelajar pancasila bagian menjadi 5, yakni: 1) akhlak beragama, seperti: mengenal dan mencintai Tuhan YME, pemahaman agama atau kepercayaan, 2) akhlak pribadi, seperti: integritas, merawat diri secara fisik mental dan spiritual, 3) akhlak kepada manusia, seperti: mengutamakan orang lain dan menghargai perbedaan, 4) akhlak kepada alam, seperti: memahami keterhubungan ekosistem bumi dan menjaga lingkungan alam sekitar, 5) akhlak bernegara, seperti: melaksanakan hak dan kewajiban sebagai warga negara Indonesia.
