The background to this study is that student achievement can be described as low. The causes of this include 1) students not actively engaging with the material, resulting in passive learning; 2) students getting bored easily and spending too much time chatting with their friends; 3) students not feeling comfortable expressing their opinions; and 4) students still having difficulty connecting what they have learned in math class with the problems given. The purpose of this research is to examine the efficacy of the Snowball Throwing approach in enhancing third graders' understanding of planar figures at SDN 18 Kampung Durian. Using quantitative and qualitative methods, this study is a PTK (classroom action research). There are a total of 28 participants, including both instructors and third graders from SDN 18 Kampung Durian. Planning, carrying out, observing, and reflecting were the four phases that made up each of the two cycles of the research. First, in Cycle I, Session I, the average score for the teaching module was 83.3%, and in Cycle II, that number rose to 95.8%, according to the results. Second, in Cycle II, the average score for the instructor aspect was 92.8%, up from an average of 82.14% in Cycle I, Session I. Thirdly, with relation to the student component, the average score in Cycle II was 92.8%, up from 82.14% in Cycle I, Session I. Fourth, the average of 84.35 in Cycle II demonstrates an improvement over Cycle I's 71.73 in Session I, when it came to student learning outcomes. As a result, we can say that third graders can benefit from using the Snowball Throwing form of instruction.
