Abstract

The integration of Islam and science refers to an effort to harmonize Islamic knowledge and scientific knowledge within the learning process. Integrating does not mean merging them into a single entity, as each possesses distinct characteristics. Rather, both can be interconnected to generate new ideas and constructive insights. Education serves as the most effective medium to achieve this objective. Islam emphasizes the importance of knowledge, science, and technology as essential factors in the advancement of civilization. The goal of integrating Islam and science is to develop individuals who possess an Islamic personality, master scientific and technological knowledge, and are capable of solving life’s problems in accordance with Islamic law (Sharia). This perspective indicates that educational technology will play an increasingly significant role in the future of education. Through the integration of scientific and religious knowledge in the learning process, Islamic education is expected to improve the quality of learning and open opportunities for diverse research approaches in line with various existing research paradigms. Ultimately, this integration aims to produce learners who demonstrate scientific attitudes, strong religious commitment, and a sense of responsibility.
