Abstract

This study aims to describe the exploration of loose parts learning media based on wetland environments as an effort to stimulate the constructive creativity of early childhood. Wetlands are a typical ecosystem in Bengkulu that provide diverse natural materials such as seeds, dried leaves, twigs, shells, river stones, dried mud, and bamboo pieces that can be utilized as loose parts media. The research approach uses a literature study method with qualitative descriptive analysis. The findings indicate that the use of wetland-based loose parts significantly enhances children's constructive creativity through free exploration, experimentation, and independent structure-building processes. Natural wetland materials provide rich sensorimotor experiences, stimulate imagination, and build problem-solving and divergent thinking skills. Furthermore, this approach aligns with Islamic teachings on the importance of utilizing nature as a source of learning (tadabbur alam) and cultivating gratitude for Allah's creation. This study recommends the implementation of wetland-based loose parts media as an innovative learning strategy in PAUD institutions in the Bengkulu region and other areas with similar ecosystems.
