Mathematical literacy is a critical competency for students to meet 21st-century demands, yet PISA 2022 results showed a decline in mathematics achievement compared to 2018, and observations at SMAN 4 Mataram revealed that 49.8% of class X students still had low mathematical literacy, particularly in understanding contextual problems related to quadratic functions and applying memorized formulas without conceptual understanding. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the Discovery Learning model assisted by PowerPoint (PPT) on the mathematical literacy ability of class X SMA students on quadratic function material. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method was used, employing a Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population consisted of all class X students at SMAN 4 Mataram in the 2025/2026 academic year, with a purposive sample of 72 students divided into an experimental class (X-8) and a control class (X-7), 36 students each. Data were collected through an essay-based mathematical literacy test and analyzed using IBM SPSS 21 through normality, homogeneity, and Independent Sample t-Test procedures. Results showed the average score of the experimental class increased from 33.81 to 82.08, higher than the control class which increased from 34.69 to 69.66. The Independent Sample t-Test produced a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05) with a mean difference of 12.417, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. These findings confirm that the Discovery Learning model assisted by PowerPoint is more effective than conventional learning in improving students' mathematical literacy.
