Abstract

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the United Nations’ 2030 global development agenda aimed at achieving sustainable development across various sector, including education. One of its goals,SDG 4, focuses on quality education by emphasizing the importance of inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education. This study aims to analyze research trends that support SDG 4, namely quality education in elementary schools. The method employed was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the PRISMA approach on 21 articles that met the inclusion criteria through the stages of identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and article inclusion. The findings indicate that research trends related to SDG 4 in elementary schools have increased in recent years. The research is predominantly centered on three major themes: the learning process, including learning media and teaching methods; teacher competence; and inclusive education as efforts to improve education quality. The results further reveal that effective learning, competent teachers, and inclusive educational services play significant roles in supporting quality education in elementary schools. This study concludes that these three aspects constitute the primary focus of research contributing to the achievement of SDG 4 on quality education.
