Abstract

This study analyzes the readability level of narrative texts in Grade VI elementary school second-semester student books using the Fry Graph. A descriptive quantitative method was employed, analyzing the number of sentences and syllables per 100 words across several text samples. The results indicate that the readability levels range from Grade V to Grade VII levels. These findings suggest that while some texts align with the reading proficiency of Grade VI students. Others remain either too simple or too challenging. Consequently, adjustments are necessary to ensure all texts better suit the reading development of Grade VI students in the second semester.
