Low active involvement in learning is a challenge in lower elementary school classes. Third-grade students are still at the concrete thinking stage, so they are more interested in fun activities and tend to be less focused in following the learning if not supported by the use of interesting media. Learning media that is fun, interactive, and able to attract attention is needed. This study aims to develop digital comic media on the material of natural and artificial features of science learning, as well as to determine the level of validity and applicability. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data collection techniques used validation sheets from media experts, material experts, teacher response questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. The validation results by media and material experts showed that the media obtained a validity score of 92.5% for the media, and 98.75% for the material, all of which are included in the very valid category. The applicability test was carried out through questionnaires distributed to teachers and third-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Gondang. The results showed a 97.7% teacher adoption rate, 91.6% small group response rate, and 94% large group response rate. The trial results demonstrated the feasibility of using digital comics as a medium, as it increased student enthusiasm, motivation, and active engagement during classroom learning.
