<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using educational podcast media in improving students’ understanding of biographical texts in Grade X of SMA Parulian 2 Medan in the Academic Year 2025/2026. The background of this research is based on students’ low comprehension of biographical texts and the use of conventional learning media that tend to be less engaging. The research method used is an experimental method with a posttest-only control group design. The population of this study consists of all Grade X students, with the sample divided into two groups: the control class and the experimental class. The control class was taught without using educational podcast media, while the experimental class was taught using educational podcast media. Data were collected through a biographical text comprehension test. The data analysis techniques included normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the average score of students’ understanding of biographical texts in the control class was 57, while in the experimental class it was 86.2. This indicates a significant difference between the two groups. Therefore, the use of educational podcast media is proven to be more effective in improving students’ understanding of biographical texts compared to conventional teaching methods. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that educational podcast media is effective as a learning tool to enhance students’ comprehension of biographical texts, as well as to improve learning outcomes and student engagement in the Indonesian language learning process.]]>
