Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of interactive learning media on fourth-grade elementary school students' learning outcomes in fraction material. The study was motivated by students' difficulties in understanding fractions due to the abstract nature of the concept. Therefore, interactive learning media are needed to facilitate conceptual understanding. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of 50 students divided into an experimental class and a control class, each consisting of 25 students. Data were collected through pretest and posttest essay tests and analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and independent sample t-tests. The findings revealed that the use of interactive learning media assisted by animated videos significantly improved students' learning outcomes. Students in the experimental class achieved higher learning gains than those in the control class. Interactive learning media helped students understand fraction concepts more clearly, increased student engagement, and enhanced learning effectiveness.
